It's difficult to determine. They should fit fine if your player is of average height and build (keep in mind that these are a relaxed fit). My son is tall and slim, and these don't fit him well. They're a little baggy and short, and he only wore them for a season before outgrowing them. I hope this has been of assistance.

My ten-year-old is a solidly beefy young man who wears a 12/14HUSKY in regular pants. NO OTHER BASEBALL PANTS WE'VE TRYED THIS SEASON HAVE FIT IN THE WAIST, and these were our fourth pair to try. (Last season, my poor guy had to wear woman's pants to fit his hips. ) We haven't worn these on the field yet, but everything appears to be of normal/good quality so far. I'm just thankful that I was able to find pants that fit my stocky son. TRY THESE OUT! br>br>.
For my son's fall baseball season, I bought these pants. I figured he'd only wear them for about two months, so the $10 price was ideal. Mesh and breathable color runs down the thighs. The bag appeared to have been searched, and there was a stain right beneath the buttons, according to one complaint.
These were purchased for my 8-year-old son's baseball season. The pants are holding up well, dirt is easily washed away, and they look good. They're a little long, but my wife hemmed them to fit (perhaps a little too short). Overall, they present an 8-year-old learning the game with a professional appearance.
Great pair of pants. For our 7-year-old, we have three pairs in size xs. They're made of a good, sturdy material. They are, he claims, extremely relaxing. They appear to be fantastic. They also come with grippy inner waistbands to help keep uniforms tucked in. We were able to get the dirt, sweat, and black from his cheeks out of his pants after he played in a tournament. (We find that hanging the pants at a manual car wash and spraying them with soapy water and rinsing them removes the dirt from white pants better than anything else. ).
My son is husky, and all of the youth xl baseball pants I could find were too tight in the waist and thighs for him. I bought these the day before his first game, in xxl, with next-day delivery. They arrived 5 hours before his first game and fit perfectly; I was relieved that I didn't have to pin the legs up. He could have worn an xl if he wanted, but I think these give him a little more room to move around in. If your child is a husky one, these are ideal.
They were comfortable to wear, simple to clean, and lasted the entire season.
It has a professional appearance. Our 6-year-old coach's pitch looks incredible with these! They were extremely long, but they fit him perfectly in the waist; I simply cut a couple of inches off and hemmed them. He's a tad on the small side, weighing in at a hefty 40 pounds wet. However, they aren't as see-through as other white pants we've bought, and the color triangle on the side and the color piping around the pocket are fantastic!.
The pants are of excellent quality; the inserts are mesh, but underwear did not show through the sides. Our only issue is that we ordered a small for our 6-year-old son, who normally wears a size 6 in pants and a small in other clothing, but he was unable to fit into these. The material appears to be a little heavier, so it should be able to withstand sliding, but it may be a little warm on hot days.
