What is the exact size of this, and is it a snap back?

This was purchased for my grandson, who is ten years old. I'm sorry, but I don't recall the back of the cap; it's not really a child's cap, but a small adult size. Velcro, I believe it is. I went to the shop to have a patch sewn on. I can't be certain because I'm not sure what's going on. When I get a chance, I'll respond again in a few days. It's a well-crafted cap.
