Questions & Answers

How does this paint perform when exposed to the sun and warmth of the exterior house trim?

The following is a message from Zed Cartwright The fact is that many people give advice when they don't know half of what they think they do. The paint can be obtained from Jamestown Distributors in Bristol RI, and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have about Contact us if you have a technical question A 253-word translation You can reach me by email at 3840 Jamestown Distributors, Inc. Please visit www.com. We suggest that you ask people that have both sold this product and have actually used it on their own boats for answers to your questions. In response to your question, I would say that you probably could use it as a trim on your house. If you intend to paint over the old water based paint with oil based paint, however, you will need to strip the old paint down to the wood and prime it with oil based primer since you cannot paint oil based paint over well sanded and prepared oil based paint. Usually people need trim to be the same sheen or not more shiny than the rest of the house, otherwise it will stick out. I'd recommend sticking with water based paint for your house. This is latex acrylic enamel and is less expensive and can accommodate extreme weather conditions with little problem. To paint the trim, you can either use flat paint or satin paint that should blend perfectly with the sheen of the house. You should ask at a local paint store to get a small sample of each to dab on your trim to see how they look before purchasing them.

Do you know if this is going to work for a wooden shower window?

It would probably work, but I never thought of using paint for boat sashes when I had old wooden If you want to clean it up, you will need paint thinner, since this isn't latex.

Are there any places where I can order a Do they just look like little paint squares?

Traditionally, we do not ship samples. However, if you send us a message through your Amazon account with the colors you want, we will be able to send In the email, you must include your address. It is a pleasure to work with

After the boat has been previously painted there are several small areas that do not have paint due to sanding through to aluminum. How do I prepare these areas to receive paint?

Hey, nope. This product cannot be used on bare aluminum, a 2-part corrosion inhibitor is needed It is essential that an epoxy primer be applied before painting the boat. If the existing paint/primer on the boat is a 1 part paint/primer, it needs

A good product to use on a pool slide as a painter
5/5

I used it to repaint one. Drys to a glossy finish, giving it the appearance of being wet. It would be wise to purchase a thinner if you want the best final coat. As the paint is very thick and difficult to brush on for a final coat, I would have been happier if I had gotten a thinner and been able to go over it with a final coat that is thin and easier to apply. The first two coats are necessary to make this look good, but a third one would make it look even better. This is kind of like putting on the last coat of polyurethane, where you want it thin and spread out.

This is a great product
5/5

I bought it to let me paint my pool slide in place instead of taking it apart and spraying it with enamel at a body shop. I was delighted with my first impression when I opened the tin Both the color and consistency of the product are excellent. In order to pick up any pigment residue left behind on the can, I emptied it into my bucket and wiped it with mineral spirits. Since I was brushing this on, and I wanted to let it flash out before drying, I used mineral spirits as a thinner. A Purdy nylon brush worked very well for sponging up the paint and covering it well. I had to clean my brush with gasoline for the first two cycles, and then mineral spirits for the last cycle. Each coat was left to dry overnight, and no soft spots were left behind. A couple of sags where I over applied it, but they were quickly removed with sandpaper. I have now applied three coats, scuffing between coats with a Scotchbrite pad, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. A strong bond appears to have been established and the finish is excellent. There is a learning curve with this oil based enamel - brushing it on takes some practice A large amount of it will cause it to sag or run. The durability of this will depend on how well it holds up in the sun and through swimming season.

The shade of blue you're looking at is lighter than it appears
4/5

It's lighter than I anticipated (Largo Blue), and the picture of the brush on the description is darker than the picture on my phone, iPad, It worked, but it would have cost twice as much if you had added pigment. They recommended adding darker blue paint (Flag Blue) and mixing them together, but that would have doubled.

Cover the area you will be working in with gloves and make sure you wear protective eyewear. We used it for our pool slide. It went on smoothly and we are very pleased with the final product.

As the coverage was so good, I did not need to apply a second coat
5/5

As part of a paint job I did a long time ago, I primed this pool slide and then I applied a coat of wet edge. As the coverage was so good, I did not need to apply a second coat. THERE IS A GREAT COVERAGE AND A This is a very good product.
