The thin coats of paint each took 16 to 24 hours to dry after we received them. Due to the fact that we did not read that in the advertisement, we felt deceived. I am a huge fan of this paint compared to previous car paints that I Originally, we planned to brush it on, but we decided it would be as much work as we could handle. As a result, we sprayed the first coat of paint. The Xylene is banned in our area, so we tried using a brushing thinner instead. As a result of all the runs in the first coat, I had to completely sand it off before spraying. Do not thin with brushing thinner if you are spraying. We tried it and it did not work, but that should have been evident based on the name. Using a tipping and rolling technique, we applied the next coat. There was no relief from the heat, even late at night. I was able to prevent the paint from dripping. A final coat was a last ditch effort. I thinned it with some reducer I had, but it was really just acetone, and sprayed it on. I am glad it worked out for the best. In order to get the roller marks out of the second coat before trying coat 4, we decided to wet sand it all. We ran out of paint with about 3 square feet to go. That coat sprayed on well but we ran out of paint soon after. Our wait for another quart, which will be delivered from the east coast, is continuing.
