Questions & Answers

Have any of you ever used this for a shower ceiling? Could you please let me know the price for the tub and In what way did the study turn out? My sincere thanks go out to ?

I say yes! When you buy the tub repair/paint kit you're going to spend between $30 and $100 This one does a better job at $15 and costs less than $60. There is no way to top

What kind of gun can I use to spray this paint?

The Harbor Freight spray gun I use has sprayed this stuff on gallons of water. By using the appropriate proportions of two parts paint, one part acetone, and six percent enamel hardener, the paint will dry in two hours with an attractive finish.

What type of paint can you use on a car?

I say yes! tried both white and oyster white and had good success with both. Old English White is the closest you can get to Oyster White, but Topside provides UV protection which is why you should use it. The paint should be cut before the paint dries. To get a flat paint finish, I mixed paint with 3/4 parts mineral spirits, and 1/4 parts Penetrol (found at Home Depot, used to help the paint lay flat). Consequently, I used a high density roller where it was not possible to use a roller and foam brushes where it was needed. Remove orange peel by wet sanding with 600 wet/dry paper after two coats of paint. I applied two coats of paint and then sanded Afterwards, wet sand the area with 1000 and apply two coats. I applied two coats of 1500 and wet sanded it afterwards. I applied two coats of 2000 then I sanded it with wet sandpaper. There is a lot of work involved, but the savings are well worth it. You're off to a great start! In the review section of the site, there should be a picture of my car. I didn't know how to do it before. Oyster White is a very highly rated product and I have recently used it and others have been

What is the best way to paint the bottom of a Starcraft aluminum boat with this product? White is the color I need. Thanks a lot! ?

If you plan to paint aluminum, this paint won't work for you, or at the very least you will need a special "aluminum primer" paint (I think Rust-Oleum has When a boat is going to be in the water for more than 12 hours at a time, then you need professional paint and equipment to complete the job. Marine shops are probably the best places to do this type of work.

You can use it for many purposes! Using this paint in an unconventional manner was my intention
5/5

The old laminate countertops in my mother's motorhome were painted according to the advice of a Pinterest post. In fact, even her plastic sink is plastic. Despite its success, it was highly controversial. In the end, the counters looked like they have been replaced instead of repainted, since the self-filling paint blended evenly as it dried. As one of the ingredients of the product is quite strong, make sure the area you are in is well ventilated. In addition, it makes the brush feel dirty, so you should use a brush you won't mind having to throw away. A 40 cent chip brush was what I used for mine. I liked it a lot.

Definitely the best product for Fiberglass Showers / Tubs
5/5

It worked perfectly for my fiberglass tub surround, which was a horrible butterscotch color (see image). It is important to ventilate the area well since the paint has strong fumes. For the most part, I applied the paint with a roller I used a paintbrush to paint around the hardware and touch ups. Boat paint is waterproof because it is a marine paint! I completely brightened up my bathroom with the color, Oyster White.

Gave 3. It takes 4 coats of paint to cover the entire surface.

I love this paint job
5/5

In order to paint the hull, I used this product. I love this paint job. In order to paint the hull of an old fiberglass fishing boat, I used this paint. Due to the fact that this is only rated for above the water line, I was unsure about using it for the hull. The "below the waterline" rating is based on the assumption that the boat will be stored on the water, i found during a thorough research of manufacturer's sites and boating forums. A larger boat piling up at the dock in salt water month after month year after year is one illustration. Using the "topside" paint on your boat is great if you trailer it (only put it in water when you actually use it). At this price, the paint isn't as good as a traditional gel coat, but I figured it would be worth my while anyway. In almost as much as I paid for the boat, I would have had to refinish the hull with gel coat. There is no problem rolling it. Do your prep work before you begin. down the old paint to the best of my ability using The mess is terrible! As soon as I was finished sanding, I cleaned the whole thing with mineral spirits. The same company provided the prime coat I used in the beginning. Mineral spirits was used to clean and sand between each coating, and it turned out wonderful. Nearly every time I go to the lake, people ask me questions and compliment me. The design has absolutely some imperfections but they have to be viewed from a distance before even being noticed. When you observe the pictures carefully, you can see how the finish starts to reflect light as the coats build up. In the summer I plan to apply a coat of wax to it. This paint turned out great, and I am very pleased with it. Don't get your hopes up, this stuff If your going to use this paint outside, make sure you use some kind of resperator. The blue paint made me dizzy just by rolling it on in a good breeze. It seems as if the color coats smell of stronger paint than the primer and.

With the roller tip method, it lays down very easily
5/5

For years, I have used this material on multiple boats and for other projects as well. With the roller tip method, it lays down very easily. One boat has managed to keep its shine for at least six years. After this, the skin becomes very difficult to scratch. Overall, it takes about a month for the skin to fully cure. In the curing period you will need to treat your plaster very gently because it has a relatively soft surface that can scratch or scrape easily. It is necessary to apply a good primer coat with this product. If the surface already has paint on it, you still want to scuff it with sandpaper in order to use the primer and ensure your primer coat is perfect before painting. Another warning would be that you should wait at least 24 hours between coats after you sand. I have been told by Rust-Oleum that sanding can release more chemicals which causes Six years ago when I was building my big boat, they recommended doing that. I've noticed that it looks terrific since then. You will need to spray, wet sand, and buff to achieve a super high gloss mirror finish. When you roll the tip of the roller you get a nice shiny finish at about 5 feet. A roller tip in white will look beautiful from whatever distance you are viewing it from. The non slip additive is highly recommended if you intend to use this product on your deck since this product becomes extremely slippery when Compared to other products of this type, I believe the price is great for a product that can be installed yourself.

I could count on the program to work well for me
5/5

My canoe was pretty trashed when I bought it for $50, so I used Rust-oleum Topside paint to recover In this case, I didn't do any fiberglass work and just painted over cracked and scratched areas. It was necessary to apply two coats because the surface was rough. Even though I put only a few hours into making it, I am very pleased with the results. Paint was applied to the canoe with foam brushes purchased at the dollar store. Even using foam brushes in hand painting, the results were good since the paint leveled by itself quite well. Take a look at the photos. In addition to painting a gas meter (pipes) with this paint, the gas company approved this paint color (battleship gray). Because of its quickly tacky consistency, it does take a little practice brushing this paint. Oil forms the basis of the product.

This is an easy and cheap way to get up and running
5/5

I like it exactly the way it is. I added the valspar hardener and thinner, as suggested by other reviewers. A quart of paint went on smoothly and I managed to paint the 14 foot boat in two coats with one quart. In my opinion, it looks good for a DIY project but won't win any awards for styling. It looks good now that I wet sanded between coats. My recommendation to anyone seeking to enhance the appearance of a boat would definitely be Rustoleum.

I can't believe how transformative this stuff is! The spray paint I ordered is to paint a fiberglass one-piece bathtub/shower combination that looks awfully nasty after reading reviews online
5/5

Eventually, it was going to have to be removed and replaced because it was so bad. We could try this paint out, I thought - what do we have to lose? It looks so brand new, so now we just need to update the faucets. I am so glad we did that because it made it look like brand new. There's simply no competition when it comes to value for money. As I was applying the paint, I used sponge brushes and a small sponge roller that I could just throw away once I was finished. Due to its oil-based nature, this paint must be stored in oil Cleaning is hard since it's based and I don't like it. Because the smell is so strong, it's best to place it in a well ventilated area, but to be honest, I was not bothered at all. Throughout all the houses I have owned, I have used this product and plan to use the remaining paint to paint a fiberglass shower in another one. Before pictures were never taken, but trust me, it was a horrible mess. One coat of paint gave the great results shown in the pictures.
