This is the first time I've used it for at least three years. I am pleased with the durability of the bottom of my boat. It's definitely a good idea to make everything water tight like this. recall reading the instructions specifically saying that gel coat should be applied within a certain period of time after repainting. I am very happy with the results. It's like new even though it's an old boat. Over this primer, I painted with white epoxy paint and I am very satisfied with the results.

There is a second coat I will need to apply, and I recommend that you apply one as well. My mistake was not knowing this and I would have just bought the (1) gallon kit for about the same price. Product performs as they claim and covers and dries extraordinarily well, even covering It did, however, leave an almost slick coating when I rolled it on with a small 4 cm foam roller, so I removed first with 202 solvent and then followed the mixing instructions. In order to prevent the foam rollers from breaking down too rapidly, you will need to change them frequently. Because of the cure time, between the last coat of 2000E and the application of VC Performance Epoxy, I will apply a coat of VC Performance Epoxy.
It is a great general purpose primer for metals that is very durable and chemical resistant, making it perfect for a marine environment. I love InterProtect for its versatility in addition to its capabilities as a barrier coat. Often I don't even apply a topcoat to parts in an engine room, where a fine finish is not necessary. It does not leave a shiny finish, but it still looks decent.
My cast iron keel was covered in this coating. Four out of five was possible for me Prime the keel with five good coats of primer and your boat will be ready to I will certainly use this product again. It dries fast and cures in less than 48 hours.
Here are the steps you need to take to restore A number of repairs were made to the bottom, and much fairing was done before it was time for painting. My first step in painting was to choose this product, pick up a few small rollers, and get to work. There was paint on the rollers and flecks of them were left in the paint after the paint melted. Seeing as how I'd bought a few brushes while they were on sale at harbor freight, I considered it no biggie. I don't think it would work. All I have to do now is pick out birstles every few feet from the paint. The following notes are for your information HF will not produce paint brushes in the future. In addition to getting one bottom coat, I got a little extra from my one quart purchase. Due to the translucent nature of one coat, the repairs can be seen clearly. As a result, the finish is extremely rough, and is actually coarser than the sanded surface I rolled it/brushed it over. In the time it takes for dribbles to brush in, they stay put. The paint crumbled into boogers if I tried to do so. There's a lot of nasty stuff in this stuff. It should be mandatory to wear gloves and wear a respirator. In summary, I don't find the coverage and workability of the product adequately justified by the price. The price is just ridiculous if you are talking about a decent product. In the case of a small boat parked on a hard, the extra cost is probably not worth it.
I always get good results from this product.
It applies easily, sands well after drying, and requires no repeat application. The product I recommend is this one.
I completed the task.
I painted the entire bottom to achieve the look I wanted. The project came out really well and we are almost ready to put it to the test in the water.
