Joan, the adapter we sent has a 50 amp lock style plug, combined with a 30 amp lock style plug. RVs usually have a straight blade style plug and it is called the TT-style A 30P (30 amp) or a 14-amp cable It is 50p and 50 amp. I would be happy to answer any further questions you may have. Among the reviews, you will find a wise sailor warning you that older marinas do not usually use this 125/250 plug Plug in barbs are completely different, so once you get there you are stuck unless the harbor master or a friend happens to have the correct adapter, which is an adapter that only charges up to 30 amps for 125 volts. Know what you're in for. The ads make it look like the 125/250 will work universally, which is not the case!.
A recent trip we took in our boat from Kemah, Texas to Rockport, Texas, required us to hook up to shore power at one of the marinas we stopped at for the night. Air conditioning is not possible without it.
There's a lot of difference in price between Marinco and this one, although it's of comparable the power feed to the boat from a 50 amp 125/220 volt outlet to a 30 amp one. The only thing I would change is that a small power indicator light would be nice, but it is an excellent deal at this price.
I can't give it a good review since the product I received was not functional. Marinco gets power right where I need it, for a little more money, but for me, that's an important factor.
The adapter worked as advertised and the price was right. You can get the same results for a much lower price. It was helpful to see photos of the ends where it connects to narrow down my choice. This is a product that I would definitely recommend.
Installed a 50 amp dock in place of a 30 amp dock. We have been pleased with the performance of the converter. The poor weather has been with us for two months now.
A very good product.
