It now works well. There was a mistake with the wiring of the 50 Amp connector. Originally, the 50 amp housing was yellow/blk, but our electrician cut it off and wired it correctly. The housing is blue not yellow/blk as the picture has it. The deal can be great if the wiring is done If you have a multimeter, you should check it and the existing connections too. There could be a fire or death as a result of this! An order for this was made to replace an existing 50Amp RV shore power supply with a 30Amp solution. It is verified that this wire is a 10g wire.
It seems silly to me to have an adaptor and have to lug a large cord when this lighter cord is the same length as my 25 foot stock cord. I also keep my trailer plugged in year round so this cord is much better than using the adaptor at home. I had a previous adaptor that shorted out over time as water got in at the adaptor's cord plug.
It is nice to be able to plug my 50 amp camper directly into my 30 amp generator with a 30 amp RV plug if I'm at a campsite with only 30 amp service without having It is true that the adapters work, but this is one fewer connection, and you do not have to deal with.
It seemed to be a well-made power cord, but it wasn't what was In order to hook up our motorhome with a 30 amp outlet in our storage shed, an extension cord was needed. Having to use a power cord every time we returned home would mean additional wear and tear on our RV's power cord. We could not use the 50 amp plug on this because the plug end was not 50 amp. Please review all the photos before you order this plug so that it matches the one on your RV plug and that it fits the purpose for which it was intended. I appreciate how easy it is for me to return items to Amazon. Thank you.
I really love it! This is so much easier than having to carry the large 50A cable during those times where The lightweight and flexible material makes it easier to handle. I highly recommend this.
about it is wrong with my travel trailer and I would buy it again if I had to.
Thus, I like the "yellow" color of the cord, which is hard to miss but not for colorblind individuals. This is not the type of guy I want to be. I am extremely satisfied with the fit and quality of this product. It will be interesting to see if it holds up over time. My personal preference would have been for the cord to be a little longer than 35', but this works with my existing 30 amp RV extension cord just fine.
