I used this for my daughter when she fell in the water and it worked just The vest caught my attention because it was a type II vest, offering improved flotation
5/5

I could easily fit it on my smartphone. She is a child of 5 years and 40 pounds. She was able to paddle/kayak using her arms. make my daughter wear it at all times while kayaking. It was not my intent to make it necessary, however. In order to kayak again before it became too cold, we want to paddle again before it becomes It was because I did not keep a tight leash on her that she leaned over too much (see picture, moments before she fell) into the river (could not reach In addition to her first dive, her head never went back into the water again. Her shock, fear, and cold made it difficult for me to scoop her up within a few seconds. A single drop of water never entered her lungs. Nonetheless, she was never seriously in danger because of this vest. This vest is great for your child, so buy it for him.

This is a great life vest type II for children
5/5

Here's the latest As my daughter has outgrown the smaller vest (she is just over 50 lbs currently), I just purchased the youth size for her. Originally, I had purchased the child-sized vest for my daughter, but I have enjoyed it so much that I just purchased the youth size. In fact, I don't think you can beat this vest for boating with a child. Although we use a more compact vest when we are at the beach or pool under supervision, this vest is far superior for boating with a child. Her head has to stay out of the water so having a strap between her legs and the pull handle at the back makes it possible to grab or wrestle her in case of a need. I also like the fact that it forces her to flounder on her back with her head above The original is My daughter - who weighs over 30 pounds and just started learning to swim - is getting her first swim lesson with this. My search for a product covering all of my requirements led me to this product. The green color is also very bright, so it is also very visible on the road. My wife took the vest to her swimming class this morning, and the instructor was impressed with the new vest's safety. We have not used it for boating yet, but we're happy that it is rated a ten by the instructor. After the instructor took her in the water, she floated effortlessly on her back without any effort on her part. I returned it after the first use because the vest was just at the bottom of the recommendation for this vest which is 30-pounds, and the adjustment straps enabled it to be a perfect fit with room to grow (my daughter is just over 30 pounds). The weight must not exceed 50 pounds. If you have a child under 30 pounds, this chair may not be ideal, but I feel it is perfectly sized for the range that it is rated for, and includes good adjustment options. There is a zip up the front of the vest to keep it closed, then there are three adjustable straps (one around the torso, one between the legs) so that you can keep it right where you need it while still My daughter did not slide down in the vest at all as I used the grab handle on the back to pick her up (because she thought it was fun, so I did not have to worry about it being uncomfortable). On the surface of the water, the back flotation pad sits across the shoulders, out of the way, but floats up behind the head.

Other than the arm holes, I like it very much
5/5

It follows that He is 40 pounds, 6 years old, and has no control over his head yet, so this works great for him. He cannot walk yet, walking on his own is a challenge, and he can't stand yet either. When he is sitting up, the arms can be a bit snug, but I could easily get him in and out with ease.

The water was so cold that my child was face down in it! For our son, who is right around 30 pounds, we purchased a child size
3/5

It caught my attention when I saw a video showing a similar life jacket flipping a child into the water upside down. Besides testing its performance in a controlled setting before I relied on it, I wanted to reduce the chance of a malfunction. He was put in the water slowly after we placed the mask on him correctly. After removing our hands from him, he was back in his own face as soon as the life jacket was removed. Normally, he would swallow a fair amount of water in half a second, but he swallowed a lot already. Please PLEASE PLEASE parents, before putting this jacket on your child and expecting it to work, then test it on them to make sure it functions properly. It was very frightening to know this could have been deadly if we relied on this jacket without first testing it.

It seems that the child is fine, but they still roll face up and down
3/5

It is designed for a 32lb person. It seems to be fine, but the child still rolls into the water when they roll face forward. The test was performed in a pool with two kids within one pound of one another. There is one taller and skinnier than the other. In order for them to work, a child should lean It's not appropriate for an emergency situation involving a child of this size to wear safety gear. Hopefully, I'll be able to get them taller and bigger as they get older/bigger.

You should be cautious, as this could be dangerous
3/5

Test it on your child before putting any trust in it and be very careful if you plan on using this life jacket for your child. During the pitch, our 4-pound ball hit the ground A year ago His face was plunged into the water and he was held I was terrified when I saw it. Having used this life vest once, we will never use it.

There's no way that it could get any better than this
5/5

I looked for a Type II PFD for my nearly three-year-old for a long time before I found one. There were a few products that stated they were Type II (with the head-on design) Reviewers have said they're not like the pictures they had, but based on the reviews, they aren't. It is true that this one In spite of my holding on to my daughter at all times in the lake, because of her constant movement, she would bob up and down and her head never went under. As she called it, her pillow was a place she could turn back on and "float" (and when she was tired at the end of a long day, she just leaned back on it to fall asleep, so not too far off the mark! ). There is a lima green hue to it. Put caps on it. Bright as can be. There are plenty of places where you can see it. It comes in handy to have the handle at the top in case you need to pull her out of the water right away (plus, she can be hung as a storage idea). Regarding the strap to be used There's no way that it could get any better than this. It might not be fun for us adults, but the kids get used to it quickly, despite the occasional "wedgie. " For the snap to engage, the "snapping" point is slightly off center to ensure that it does not interfere with the chest strap. I had to put her leg through to open the buckle on the strap of the life jacket, since it was too hard to open even for me. The fact that I know she won't be able to get it off doesn't bother me. Feeling between the legs is kept at bay with a felt cover on the strap. I'm glad I got this PDF in the end. Having sent my daughter to the lake, I was sure she would be safe. This is definitely something I would recommend. In terms of its size, it might fit children between the ages of 2 and 5 A child of average size should wear a size 5. It's too early to tell how long it will last. (*****UPDATE ******UPDATE ******UPDATE The second year is here. My love for it doesn't change and the fit is still great after nearly 4 years A 38 lb, year-old child is at the center of the incident.
