Questions & Answers

I was wondering if these service kits will fit the following Jabsco models What does a 3000 manual toilet compact bowl look like?

I can confirm that the 29045- IS the correct one In order to repair the 29090-, you need the 3000 service kit Also, the pump assembly can be purchased as a complete unit which saves you the need to reassemble It takes a long time to build an The part number for this item is Thank you for your business. Best regards, Jabsco.

The part you need how can you figure it out?

Two Jabsco parts kits (there are only two) are clearly marked with drawings of the particular toilets they are intended Information is provided on their web site as well. If your boat is over ten years old, you can make some mistakes The toilet was never taken off the dealer's shelf, so nobody knows how long it was there.

The performance of Jabsco remains disappointing
3/5

In the case that I need to replace one of my toilets again (and not repair it), I will spend the extra $30 to buy the entire assembly together. It turns out that this rebuild kit is relatively straightforward and simple to install. something you only have to do every few years, so you have to start from scratch every time without regard to how it A big problem is that there are very few Although I am in my 50s, I do not need glasses to drive legally). At the same time, Jabsco is clearly using cheap stainless steel Steel hardware is used for construction It is likely that the majority of the screws in the original assembly (six of one type / four of the other) will show corrosion by the time the rebuild is complete. It is unfortunate that Jabsco includes only ONE screw each of two screw sizes in its rebuild kit. The exact number of screws needed for a complete rebuild is just two out of 10 I am planning to replace both toilets in my boat at some point, so I would like to get a floor mounted toilet as well. The products from Jabsco won't be a good fit for me.

A misleading or inaccurate title for the product
3/5

A mistake and misrepresentation appear in the title of this item, "Twist N Lock. ". Due to the fact that my boat was built in 2003 and has Twist n Lock toilets, I purchased the 1997 model. The model for 2007 was introduced in 2007. Although the cap (which is the seal housing assembly in the diagram that came with the rebuild kit) in the rebuild kit was incorrect. No, it was not a Twist and It seems that the picture on the package is critical to determining which kit you need, but since you can't see the package until it arrives, I came to the conclusion that the picture is important. It turns out that toilets prior to 2007 did not have Twist N Lock lids. In this sense, the item title is misleading, as only one of three options is available. For a toilet model 2007 and later, you need the Twist N Lock.

It was just a matter of replacing the appropriate parts that fixed the leak in the boat toilet handle
5/5

Up to date information on the 2020 election I have been responsible for toilet maintenance multiple times while owning the boat for over a decade. Previously we used the Jabsco service kits in 2013 and 2016/17, and most recently we cleaned and lubricated the pump parts (to improve flushing) and replaced the joker valve due to a leak from the bowl to the tank due to back pressure. Each time the toilet requires maintenance, it performs well for a short time and then gradually In real life, we would use the boat a lot more often, and would do this every year rather than wait several years between using it. An annual flush of the toilet averages out to under $20, which is a small price to pay to ensure that an important boat function is maintained. It is a routine maintenance part for a marine toilet (2013 version). There are people who replace these parts at intervals of one or two years while others wait until leaks first appear. In our boat, we had a leak around the handle of the pump but we didn't think it was more than five dollars a leak This is her sixth birthday. Despite the fact that it comes with more parts than any toilet would need, the instructions for installation The novice had a problem with the leaky pump handle fixed in little more than an hour, including reading instructions and scrubbing the plastic parts thoroughly. There has been no problem since it was installed two months ago.

There is a misunderstanding about the title! The newer models are not compatible with this
3/5

I used my Jabsco manual pump last year (installed last year) and now the water Additionally, the lever that allows you to switch between wet and dry bowls does not extend all the way to the dry bowl anymore, you must hold the lever over while pumping As a result, I bought this kit thinking it matched the 1997 and later period kit I bought. This is incorrect. The dates on this are actually from 1998 to 2002 The item for which no locking handle is included is this one. For the one with the locking handle, you'll need a different kit. In reality, a whole new pump assembly will cost you just $5 more ($65 to $70), so you might as well buy the whole thing. This would give you a clearer understanding of what happened if I could provide a picture of the sticker on the package I received.

Buying this product is good, but please read the review before buying
5/5

Overall, it's a good product as it does what it is supposed to do. Although I would encourage you to change your Jabsco toilet if you have one that is 10+ years old. I had two of these toilets, I had two kits to repair them (first time boat owner here) and only discovered that I had to change them The toilet I replaced was replaced a while back and I am in the process of In that case, I suggest you use the Raritan PHII (search on the boat forums and you will see it is bullet proof and highly recommended)

After I carried out the maintenance on my Jabscos, they Through the joker valve, leaks, and other things, the smell comes back. A RED HOSE IS THE ONLY HOSE YOU NEED!.

It's important to pay attention to the model year! If you only need one part, then you save a lot of money by replacement the whole unit when you only need the one portion of the unit
4/5

The main part responsible for preventing backflow leaks is not the joker valve that is so popularly referred to. In addition, the base valve life is probably extended considerably if the tank is manually shut off at the Y valve and the plunger is left open (unlocked) while the boat is being stored.

A fix has been found for the blow back! In the last few years I seem to need to replace the joker and bottom flapper valve to prevent leakage back into the bowl and occasional blowback when you use the pump rapidly
4/5

It leaked lake water as well on the up stroke because the seal around the pump shaft was leaking. There was a desperate need for the rebuild kit on the boat. The only thing I wish was that it was less expensive now The straight flush is always better than a full house or a boat in poker terms!.

This kit is for rebuilding
4/5

It is necessary to replace a marine head every one to two years if you own one.
