Because my drain plug is 1 inch, it fits perfectly. To flare out the end, you'll need a flaring tool, and it'll almost certainly have to be cut shorter. I heated the end to make it bend easier, and I left a 1/8 of an inch longer. Before you install it, check out YouTube for more information.
After reading about how to install it, I decided to anneal it, and I believe it was the correct decision. You must cut it 1/8 of an inch longer than the hole; if it is too short, it will not fit; you must have another person on the inside of the boat to hold one end while you tighten it; and you must get into it; it is not easy, not difficult, but difficult; you must turn your end thoroughly; and don't forget to coat the inside of the hole before inserting the tube. The 3m 4200 should be used. Best wishes to you.
Yes, cutting to fit is a common practice.

I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. They're really nice, but be careful not to cut it too short; I'd even recommend buying a spare in case you do. I cut mine a little too short, but it worked out. It's difficult to tell how long something is, especially when the surface is angled. I'd get a couple of millimeters more than you think. It's also possible that you'll have to start over with a new one. Unless you've done this before, it's a good idea to have a backup. To install it, you'll need the right tool.
It's a standard brass drain tube, nothing special, but what I don't like about it is that it's made in China; China produces low-cost goods, and this is going in a location where it won't be easily replaced. Why is it that the United States is unable to manufacture a basic drain tube?.
The flares are very nice. Check to see if the tool isn't bottomed out if it doesn't flare. br>br>I made an extreme flare on the section I had left over just to see what would happen. There aren't any slits or cracks.
Flarres are exactly how they should be.
To install these, make sure you have the flaring tool. Brass drain tubes of excellent quality.

Excellent quality product that I installed on my 135 Evinrude 76 and it worked flawlessly. I strongly advise you to purchase these items.
A 3" long brass tube in excellent condition. Flares are simple to make. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
