The threaded section is 1 inch in diameter.
This is something that I would never do. This was not intended for this use. On a boat, only use brass fittings below the waterline. There's too much of a chance of failing and sinking your ship.
The hole opposite the hose end has a diameter of about 21/32 inches. As you go deeper into the hole, it gets smaller. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.
I found out that there are two types of people. Three sizes to choose from. I took a chance and ordered what I thought would fit a one-inch hole. The larger ones have been saved for future projects. Please accept my apologies for not being able to provide a precise response.

This is exactly what I needed for a planter saucer drain - thanks! a non-conformist This is an important application. LOL. Even so, I hadn't read any of the other reviews until it arrived and I discovered there was no gasket. Really? I eventually found a sink drain washer that worked perfectly, though I wouldn't trust it or this plastic fitting in any nautical application. If it doesn't work for me, my patio will be flooded with brown water. For the time being, I'm content with my situation.
The drain hole appears to be an in-between size for a plug, and the inside diameter of the tube is tiny.
They are excellent for use in my hydroponic system. In addition, I have a few for my boat. The lack of a rubber seal was not an issue for me.
Good - It did exactly what it said it would and appears to be quite durable.
As stated in the advertisement. Product has a good final result.
