Fast Idle: You can use the fast idle button to advance the throttle without changing gears. Push the fast idle button (cover) while the control lever is in Neutral to open the throttle for starting and warming up.

Improved Control Handle: When the control handle is in Neutral and the fast idle feature is turned off, move the control handle to Forward or Reverse gear. To open (advance) the throttle, keep moving the control handle in the same direction.

Throttle Friction Adjustment: Adjust the control handle friction adjustment screw with a flat head screwdriver. The force required to move the control handle can be increased or decreased with this adjustment.

Trim With A Simple Toggle Security features include a built-in ignition switch and a lanyard.

Only for Evinrude and Johnson outboards: Compatible with "Evinrude E-TEC" binnacle mount remote control assemblies designed for Evinrude and Johnson outboards.

Although the description says side mount, the photos appear to show top mount. Is it true that it looks exactly as it does in the photos?

Is this going to fit my 1992 walk-around cudy cabin with a 200 Johnson engine?

I'm not sure what I'm saying. My replacement for a 1998 Johnson Evinrude 225 was frozen and would not move when I got it. I was able to return it in the end, but I had to cover the cost of return shipping. I'm not going to buy anything else from them.

Is this going to fit my Johnson 115 ocean from 2001?

It could, because mine was for a 1998 225 hp Evinrude Johnson, but it took weeks to arrive, and when it did, it was broken. Dealing with the supplier was a nightmare. I eventually returned it and was given a refund, minus the $37 for return shipping. That is a vendor with whom I would not do business. Depending on how it's currently wired (with plugs or hardwired with butt splices), you might need to add cable connector plugs as well.

You can save money by buying cheap junk

When I received the control, I could tell from the material that it was not as well made as the factory one. In addition, the wires were of a very fine gauge. After a few fishing trips on it, while running down the river, I smelled something burning and saw smoke coming from the console, and the boat died. As the wires continued to melt, I unplugged the harness before they were completely melted. I rewired my harness and reconnected my original switch, which was made in the console, after being towed back to the ramp. The throttle lever now has a lot of wiggle room. and when I got home from work, my motor had been trimmed all the way up, and the trim is now just starting to work on its own. I filed a complaint with the seller, but received no response. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS KNOCK OFF, BUY A FACTORY ONE.

The original version is more appealing to me. However, when it comes to boats that I use offshore, I am extremely picky and anxious.

The key switch on this product that I purchased for my boat is a complete waste of money. You'll either have to purchase a new OEM key switch or repurpose your old one.
