Questions & Answers
No, FLYMEI, the prop does not have to be removed. However, I went up a size from what they suggested. I also covered the prop edges with small wire plastic conduit to protect the cover from cutting and tearing by the prop edges. br>The entire motor would not have fit in their recommended size for my Yamaha 4 stroke 90. br>Recommendation: I'm exchanging for a larger size. br>I hope that this information is useful.

You must place your order based on the size of the engine. the engine's hp (horsepower)
The outboard on my boat is a Merc 90. I purchased the cover for 100-150 HP, and while it is a little long, it fits perfectly. I'm not sure if the largest size will work with your Suz 250s. On the ad page, they state the dimensions.

If you're unsure about how it'll fit, go for a larger size. I have a 2019 Mercury 115 Pro XS and decided to go with the next size up for the 175 to 200hp because of the shape. I'm glad I took the opportunity. It was a perfect match for me.
These were purchased in pairs. One is for an 8 horsepower Yamaha and the other is for a 200 horsepower Evinrude. br>br>Neither of them seemed to fit. There isn't even a smidgeon of doubt in my mind. It was like trying to put on a pair of pants that were two sizes too small. br>br> When you first see them, you have your doubts, but you decide to give them a shot anyway, only to end up with thigh-high boots. br>br>I can't emphasize enough how far these were from fitting properly. It wasn't as if I couldn't zip or cinch them. If I start at the prop, the top of the cover just reaches the cowl's bottom. So I go to put them back in their storage pouches, and the zipper on the 200 cover pouch rips off. The big old tag that says "made in China" is right next to it. What a farce. br>br>.
I recommend purchasing the largest size available because it will cover and close more effectively. The one that was based on a horsepower size guide had to be returned; however, it is highly recommended!.
After reading the reviews, I decided to order a size larger. It is a perfect match for the motor. It's a good, heavy-duty cover that completely covers everything!.
This was purchased for my Mercury outboard motor, which has a horsepower of 75. Because the 75 has the same exterior dimensions as the larger motors on a Mercury, I bought the one that was good for the 100 horsepower motor. If you own a Mercury outboard motor, you should know about this. Great cover, great price; let's hope it lasts all winter.
Because it does not fit over the prop, I gave it four stars. The motor is more important to protect, so it's not a big deal, but the zipper was strange. They only had one length of zipper, so instead of cutting it, they simply slapped it on the cover and ignored the trimming. I'm hoping that the photos will show that if I cover the prop, I won't be able to cover the engine housing, and vice versa. The prop is not covered if the housing is. The Mercury 9 is mine. 9 HP. br>In my opinion, it should have been made longer and the zipper should have been replaced with elastic sewn into the inseam. Even if it were to fit, the zipper appears to be useless. Unique motors and props can be flexible thanks to an elastic band.
It was well-made. For my Yamaha F150LB, I ordered the next size up. The top portion is a perfect fit; it hangs a little below the lower end, but this makes it simple to zip and tighten the draw cord. It's only for keeping dirt off while parked, so it's ideal. **hint** hang a couple "balls" of t-shirts from the ceiling. Wasps won't be able to nest inside your brown grocery bags if you wear a shirt!.
This is exactly what I was looking for for the price. I keep our boat under a barn shed that gets a lot of dust from the wind, so I wanted a cover to keep as much dust and dirt off the motor as possible. I have a 75 HP Yamaha engine and based all of my calculations on the image. It is not going to stretch. This cover fit perfectly and completely encased the motor. If your item is larger than a 75, consider going up a size on the cover. However, it is ideal for storing a boat for the price. It's not a good idea to leave it on while traveling.
