A typical single cylinder outboard usually takes 5 turns from lock to lock
It is NOT recommended to attempt to install an NPT pipe fitting inside a -3 valve port. Doing so could result in irreversible damage to the valve

As far as twin cylinder outboard engines go, this is the most common displacement.
The shaft's diameter is 35 mm. How many inches does the housing stick up from the shaft, including the shaft itself, and how long is it from the housing to the shaft?

This is the best pump I have ever used. This is what I rigged up for a front stick steering system I used on My recommendation to people who are thinking of doing this is to do away with the stick and opt for the wheel on the pump instead. The situation has greatly improved.
