For my RZR 1000, I used this as a belt cooler. Fits perfectly and works perfectly, now that I have done it, so have all my buddies.
The number 1 does not equal the number 3. The hose measures 80mm in diameter and is 3 in length. There is a fitting on 1" but it doesn't fit on my However, I would have to rerun 18 ft of hose if I found a looser As it turned out, I almost had the unit installed when I discovered the hose would not fit. I wasted my time on such a useless activity.
Although the ABS plastic housing appeared to be in very good condition, after receiving and testing it, I discovered that the fan was bumping against where the wires of the motor exited. Despite the fact that it was no more than it should be, this was unacceptable. Therefore, by rerouting the wires with some modifications, the problem was solved. The first time I heard of this, I thought it might have been just one in a hundred. I am fairly certain that the wires could/should be routed differently to avoid this, but after looking at how they were routed, I am fairly sure that they can/should be routed differently. A new hole had to be drilled away from the fan, and the old one had to be plugged. It seems like an excessive amount of work to.
I made an inverted dry suit dryer with 2" pvc using this blower as the The 120cfm model is quiet and easy to use. To drive the fan, I used a 5A 12V power supply. The supply is rated for 2 amps, but I tried using a lower amp supply I had laying around, but it burned out. Taking into account the change in price is not terribly significant, I would suggest you use the higher current one. Definitely recommend it if you want peace and quiet.
There are four volts and three amps. It's perfect and blows about 170 CFM when full power is used. Due to the fact that this was used to make a portable AC cooler, the noise level was noticeable though not too loud, so I would not have been able to use it. I am sure, considering the purpose for which it is intended, that it would be.
I use it to cool 12kw amps, it's loud, but easy to drown out, it back feeds a little, so I use a diode to reduce its power.
An easy to install product.
Air is simply being moved through the blower, and the noise is the result of that. The purchase has been a very good investment for me. I also found the installation to be very straightforward.
