Questions & Answers

Would it be possible to put both the positive and negative wires on this or is there a need for one for each ?

There are both positive and negative terminals in this device. Organizing wiring on a boat is generally a very good idea. The one I have is very nice.

When hooking up multiple connections to a single terminal, can it be safely done if it is below the typically recommended 15-amp limit Is it possible to plug in 20 amps to each ?

This was a step I had to take on one of my computers. My previous connections to this battery were ring terminals, since they were previously hooked up to my starting battery. I now wish that I had gone with the 5/8 The good thing about these is that they helped me organize my battery terminal, taking the mess out with them. We no longer have any problems with the battery connections. In addition to the lock washers, I bought thin lock washers for the terminal screws so that the connections would remain tight during For the first time in summer, there weren't any connection problems.

This already connects to two accessories that I already have. Do you have any suggestions as to whether I can also wire a marine stereo and marine VHF radio to this?

Your accessories can be placed in a total of five positions. A total of 150amps DC is available for the entire block at the moment. It will be around 10amps maximum combined for the stereo and VHF, so you will have plenty of juice to spare.

What are the waterproof and water resistance properties of the block? The rack is designed to be added to a Jeep roof rack, but I concern it might corrode. ?

I apologize for the confusion. This is a water resistant, not a waterproof unit. It should be noted that this is a Marine unit that is tested for extreme durability under salt water conditions. If you use this unit on a roof rack, you shouldn't have any problems. I hope this information is helpful. I am Mike

I like the hardware on this piece
5/5

I like the hardware on this piece. This simple power bar is well made by Blue Sea and proves that they do their homework. Keeping this in mind, here are some things you need to know The fusing of each positive wire has to be done manually. This bar does not come with built-in fusing. I kept this bar and went to Amazon to purchase the Blue Sea Systems 5025 ST Blade Fuse Block with built-in fuses for protection of each positive terminal. The Blue Sea Systems 5025 ST Blade Fuse Block is available on Amazon for $4. 99. In addition to the fused bar, there is a non-fused bar It was an excellent job of construction to fuse the bars.

We strive for high quality
5/5

I have to say that Blue Sea System has produced a great product once again. My truck's lighting was rather complicated, so I used this for that. Be sure to pay attention to the product dimensions (which I had to get from Blue Seas' website they're bigger than I expected.

I love the design, but there is a flaw
4/5

There is no doubt that the DualBus Plus is of high quality. Its metal is durable and made from stainless steel, while its housing is strong and its cover is solid. There are four threaded posts for the battery cables, which come with nuts. I had to add washers to ensure that my cable connectors would be solidly attached. I used the 10 screws for my accessory wire connectors because they were the perfect size. There are two screw holes in the base housing, so you can attach the assembly to your boat with screws. In the center of the assembly, they are located. When you squeeze in the two yellow tabs on the clear cover, you can easily separate it from the housing For accessing the screws, it comes in very handy. I found one fault in the design the cover on the clear wires was not large enough to cover all the connectors. When handling other items near this bus, you should watch your fingers closely because there is enough exposed metal that can still shock your fingers if not watched closely enough. Covers are nice to have, and make this bus safer than others without them, but if they stuck out an extra 14 inches on all sides, then the cover would be ideal.

This was exactly what I was looking for
5/5

It will put an end to my battery terminals looking like spider webs with this bus bar. During the course of the season, the connections and the battery in my pontoon would always loosen due to being located in the back of the seat behind the back seat. When you had to repair a connection, you had to pull all five wires off, wrap tape around them so that one of them wouldn't fall down into the water, since the boat was docked. Then I will only need a single cable each to the positive and negative terminals, as I have 5 system wires to this bus bar now. It is now just a matter of unhooking the 2 cables at the end of the season. The 5 positive and negative wires aren't taped together at the end of the season so that hook-up in the spring is as fool-proof as possible. I'll finally be able to set up my wiring in a neat and tidy manner. Using the two top studs, it will be possible to provide some LED lighting with an inverter.

On the left side of my fuse block, under the helm, there is a DualBus
4/5

This is a rather large size! The terminal block I used for the installation of underwater lights on my pontoon boat served the same function. DualBus did not offer a lot of options, so it was overkill for the application, but it worked fine and could be.

There is a dual bus
4/5

Blue has come up with another well-designed product - Towards the sea. Once I begin searching in the Blue-area, I realize I've been blind. I will start with the sea product line before I check out other options, if blue-fin is available The sea makes it, I buy it, as that is what my uses require. I have not been disappointed in any of the many products I have purchased over time from this manufacturer.

I really like it and the quality is good
5/5

The device was bought so I could convert a battery backup unit into a battery backup system for long-term use. There is a backup unit that was a cyberpower 965 watt, which was meant to last for about 15 years After hooking up my saltwater tank, heaters, and lights, it took me only 20 minutes. I bought this to synchronize all of my batteries, so I can get a generator hooked up in case of power loss in the winter. I bought it to tie everything together so my batteries all have the same charge, pull, etc. I would recommend this more than I did my original expectation.

Reducing the number of cables on a battery would make it more efficient
5/5

To reduce the number of wires going to the battery I bought the device, and I am very pleased with it. As I already have the lights on my side by side, I will not need to put lights on my rear. I have the room to do anything else if I so wish.
