I'm currently in Las Vegas. The boat is currently docked in Seattle. I used a diamond plate platform to mount mine over my jet drive, and I placed the cooler where I wanted it mounted, with one of the mounts under the cooler's corner. I lifted the cooler while maintaining the mount's position. I drilled the first hole and then reinstalled the cooler on the mount, double-checking its position. Removed the cooler while leaving the mount in place, and drilled two additional holes. For each mount, I did the same thing. For me, it was a huge success. Good Luck

It was used to secure a beer cooler to the fender of a tractor. My sobriety is now almost non-existent at the end of the day. existent.
They are indeed fragile, as another reviewer stated, and I purchased this to replace three broken mounts (on a used item I purchased). If you use too much force when screwing it in, the plastic will melt. If a metal version of this was available, I would buy it. I don't mind the extra weight.
Sitting in the sun on the boat causes it to become brittle after a few seasons, but I replaced mine after 12 years and everything is fine now.
These cooler mounts are quite large, and installation will necessitate the use of a long drill bit. I'm not a fan of how high-priced everything is these days. They have a high profile and would prefer something that isn't as long. To keep a cooler from sliding, I don't believe these cooler mounts need to be two inches tall. They do, however, operate.
We were dissatisfied with the product because it was properly installed, but the cooler moved when the boat moved. So, when the boat is moving, you must secure the cooler so that it does not become airborne and injure someone.
It's fine, but the holes aren't exactly the same as the ones I had before. The screws may also be difficult to tighten with a cordless drill/driver because the holes are deep.
They're made of the cheapest plastic available, and they're so brittle that the screw broke the majority of them. Buyers beware, they're a complete waste of money!.
These are good replacements; they're light and well-made.
