Questions & Answers

Is this suitable for a 7 1/4-inch head?

Yes, every paintball mask fits everyone.

After the first time I played, the inside of the lens developed a fine, crusty film that I can't get rid of. So, what should I do now?

Please give us a call at (800) 724-4444. We'll be able to replace it if it's a factory defect (6822).

Is it possible to wear the mask while wearing glasses?

I've seen people wearing corrective lenses under this mask, but it's still difficult to put on.

I'm a size 7 and it fit perfectly
4/5

The first time I used it, I used it for about 6 hours, and the interior lens began to bubble after about 2 hours. I initially mistook the protective film for still being on, but it had been removed! br>I'm a size 7 and it fit perfectly. I was 25 at the time, and the helmet I was wearing covered my ears. br>Excellent defense. You can hear a ping because I must have been hit a few times in the head and eye area. There are no cracks or penetrations in the lens near the vents. Calls and most conversations are audible to me. br>br>After 6 hours of indoor airsoft, I had purchased two helmets, one of which had no signs of bubbles. Issues with quality control?br>The interior foam pads could be thicker/denser. br>I'm replacing the other helmet, but it'll set you back $60. 00 I was hoping for a helmet that would last longer than 6 hours.

I'd like to emphasize the excellent customer service and warranty provided by the manufacturer
5/5

This mask is a good fit for my above-average facial features. a head of average size Because it is too confining and hot, I removed the back plate. I felt some pressure spots on the top of my head where the mask rests while testing the mask at home, but they were not noticeable during field play. However, due to the full head coverage design, the mask fits very securely on my head without having to cinch the back strap extremely tightly around your head and causing headaches due to compression on your temporal arteries. br>br>However, the sides of the mask leave a small tip of my earlobe exposed on either side. br>br>However, due to the full head coverage design, the mask fits very securely on my head without having to cinch the back strap extremely tightly I attach a Sony Action Camera to the side of this goggle and can sprint freely without fear of upsetting the camera. and-down motion, which could cause my goggle to fall out of place. When cameras are attached to goggles that do not provide full head coverage, the extra weight of the camera causes the goggles to move around during quick head motions, making the fit feel unsteady. br>br>The lenses are indeed fog-resistant. Free, and I had no problems on a hot day when everyone else's rental goggles fogged up. br>br>I'd like to call attention to the excellent customer service and warranty provided by the manufacturer. I noticed that parts of the foam padding on my goggles were coming loose after a game. When I sent it in for review and replacement, the manufacturer offered free shipping and handling, which was promptly delivered.

Full coverage is great, but removing the visor is a pain
4/5

I like the mask, but I expected it to be more flexible than their other flex mask. Do not purchase this mask if you are a size 7 1/2 or larger and wear glasses; it will be uncomfortable unless you modify it to fit comfortably, as I did by removing the foam and cutting some of the inside plastic. br>br>The mask rarely fogs up on me, which is a huge plus, and I appreciate the full head coverage. In the three games I've played with this mask, I've been shot seven times in the top, back, and back of the head. It didn't completely cover my ears, but it was sufficient to keep paintballs from hitting them. br>br>Removing a visitor is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTRE It's the only real flaw in this mask. The only reason it doesn't get a perfect 5 star rating is because of this. Because it's made in a standard size, the sizing to my head isn't really its fault.

I find it to be too small
3/5

It's a fantastic mask, but it's a little too small for me. To begin with, it was a tight fit, but the lack of ear coverage was the deciding factor. Since my son owns the Empire XRay (the same mask without the full head coverage), I'm going to give the Empire/JT/Extreme Rage PROtector a try.

During an all-day Airsoft event, this item was used
5/5

This mask did not fog during a 10-hour airsoft event that I participated in a few days after purchasing it. After several hours of play, the most I got was a little perspiration on the lens, which I simply wiped away with a rag and was good for the rest of the day. There's no risk of a BB slipping through the holes in the mask because they're much smaller than a 6mm BB. The field of view is exceptional. It's also not very wide, so I could see the sights with a full stock MP5, but not with my MP5j, which has a retractable stock. I can use the sights on my M14 with a little difficulty, but if you adjust the rear sight to raise it up, it's possible. I'll also say this about the mask: it's well ventilated and, in my opinion, quite comfortable. br>br>I've used safety glasses (which I don't recommend), ESS Striker goggles, JT Delta 2, and a variety of other goggles for airsofting, and none of them worked as well as these. The ESS goggles were not safe; a BB could still enter through the foam or the side (there's a rubber flap there because it wasn't designed for airsoft, despite the fact that many of us prefer to use them for this). br>br>Pro'sbr>NO FOGbr>Excellent field of viewbr>Comfybr>Well ventilatedbr>Lower profile mask, allowing use of sights more often than other masks. br>br>Con'sbr>NO FOGbr>Excellent field of viewbr>Comfybr>Well ventilatedbr>Lower profile mask, allowing use of sights more often than At the very least, allowing us to use our optics without having to raise them quite as high. br>br>Consbr>The bottom face and top helmet portion of the helmet are not removable. As a result, your customization options are limited to a visor or no visor. Unlike my JT Delta 2 and other masks, which allow you to remove portions of the mask to leave only the goggles if desired, this mask does not allow you to do so. br>br>*EDITED IN
I've had this for a long time and have used it at a number of outdoor events. I'd say the thermal lens' anti-fogging capabilities are excellent. In extreme conditions, I've only gotten a few small patches of fog here and there. But if I control my breathing, those go away in a few seconds, because it only happens when I stop breathing heavily. This is something that could happen to me a few times throughout the day if I continue to play. Another option for clearing the fog is to simply move around a little bit, as this will provide more than enough airflow to do so. A friend gave me a fan for this mask for free, but it has sat unused for the most part. Its only real purpose is to remind my friends that I don't fog, ever, while we're getting ready for the next match. br>br>Full face/head protection is also a plus; however, it can be difficult to tell if you've been shot in the top of your head because you won't feel it. It's also relatively lightweight and flexible when compared to other full-face masks. I think the top sunshade is great; I've played on some very bright sunny days and never had the sun in my eyes or felt the need for tinted lenses. The pictures may deceive you, as it appears too small to be useful, but it isn't because your eyes are set back due to the goggles. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> March 2015br>After four years, the mask is still alive and well, having participated in countless airsoft games and events. And it's been there for the majority of my airsoft career, which has now come to an end. It is, without a doubt, one of the best airsoft purchases I have ever made. All of the praise I previously bestowed on it is still valid; it deserved it and then some. br>br>However, let me add one more thing about airsoft: it's annoyingly difficult to tell the difference between being shot in the head and a BB ricocheting off a wall; they're both pings, but the difference is minor. In my experience, most fields discourage head shots anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. That has never been an issue for me at a game, so I wouldn't worry about it. The worst was when a ref shot me while I wasn't looking to make sure I was calling my hits correctly, then walked over and said I wasn't out because he saw a ricochet off the back of my head earlier and I didn't call it. I told him I didn't feel anything and pulled down the hood of my sweater to reveal my helmet, and that was the end of it.

JT Flex 8 Paintball Goggle with Full Coverage
4/5

Since the early 1990s, I've been using JT goggles, and their products have always been of the highest quality. This product is exactly what I expected it to be: well-made. Now that I have younger family members who want to play, I have recently returned to paintball. We were having a good time when I was hit in the head. ouch! It was painful on the exposed side of my cranium, to say the least. So, in order to avoid a repeat of that traumatic experience, I looked for a paintball mask that offered more protection. I can now report that this mask performed admirably, even when playing on a hot August day, with no issues with fogging; the only criticism I have is that the bottom half of my ear is exposed. I made a small leather cover and secured it with a mini zip-tie. ties. This protective headgear The goggles are excellent, but keep in mind that they may not completely cover your ears.
