I'm with you. Unlike silicone, this product is not silicon-based. In paintball markers, it is an oil based on petroleum. There is a bit more thickness than water, but a thinner consistency than syrup.

This was intended to work!.
I received an excellent product, which was clean, undamaged and well packaged. My lubrication needs will be met so long as I follow the directions.
All it is is a small bottle of oil for the o rings, and it came quickly. It works well to maintain markers.
I could not see any label or anything telling me what the product actually is or what it's composed of. Neither a safety seal nor an audit trail was available.
