I fell in love with this hopper the moment I disassembled it to install batteries, clean the Spire, and learn how to use it. The Bluetooth is a great feature to have at your disposal because it makes changing things a lot easier, and as always, Virtue wins out and makes me love them even more with each purchase. The disassembly is ridiculously quick and simple, and I adore it. It's far superior to my R2, and it can easily match my Rate of Fire.
You'll be very pleased with the performance and appearance of the Spire 3 if you use it right out of the box - It's simple and effective. However, I found it extremely difficult to get the Spire 3 to link up (white LED pattern) after downloading the mobile phone app to sync them together (update software, change settings). Expect to spend a significant amount of time looking for a useful YouTube video, then dozens of attempts to get to the hopper setup and toggle into the white LED configuration mode.
Keep a safe distance away. So keep in mind that this is the first and only time I've used it. br>I get the package already assembled. This is fine with me because I assume "oh the sender took the time out of his schedule to put it together for me. " So I start playing with it, and the plastic hopper cover tab snaps, spilling paintballs all over the place. Okay, that was a simple fix. I was planning on putting a speed loader on it anyway. br>Take a few steps backwards. Turning the stupid thing on has always been a problem for me. I'd press the "on" button at least five times in an attempt to get the circuit board's button to turn on. br>So, as the game progresses, my paintball marker begins to shoot the balls very slowly, eventually ceasing to do so. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I noticed the blue light that indicates the hopper is on was missing. This occurs twice in the game: once at the start and again at the end. It's a great idea, but it's broken and doesn't work for $200.
It takes some getting used to the shell being split down the middle after coming from the original spire, but it also makes for super easy maintenance. The app makes it very simple to download software. It's as simple as that. It's incredibly quick to switch between the rain lid and the speed feed. It could just be me, but I think it feeds a lot smoother than my previous spire while shooting, resulting in some buttery ropes coming out the barrel. I'd suggest it.
The. Loader. Is. The. Best. Ever. I'm blown away! This thing is quiet, has a long battery life, and the materials it's made of feel good in your hand. It also works perfectly. So far, I've gone through ten cases and haven't had a single problem. Will it stand the test of time? Only time will tell. But, at this point, I'm a big fan of the product. br>My only criticism is that the loader's lid appears to be lacking in structural integrity. It looked like it was going to snap at any moment.
It's possible that this is the best paintball loader available. It's simple to set up and it's never clogged. Very dependable. br>br>The only thing I didn't like about the app pairing process was how clumsy it was.
The virtue spire 3 280 fulfills all of my expectations and then some. It appears to be well-built, and it should perform as well as, if not better than, the spire 260 it replaces. It's now ready for the field after I picked up a speed feed and color kit for it today at nxl Chicago.
I'm trying to update the firmware on my Spire 3 but it won't connect; it shows up in the bluetooth settings but won't connect in the app. I've attempted several times to update the hopper, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Using a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Because using an Ncharge battery necessitates a firmware update in order for the hopper to properly register that it has power, this is a problem!.
