This was purchased for a family reunion with a wide range of ages, including teenagers and pre-teens. teens. They were taken with the variety of colors and hardware available. Friends advised me to buy only the nylon variety of paracord because I was unfamiliar with it. I had no idea some of it was flat and some of it was rounded. This is the flat version, and it was a little more difficult to get the bracelets to twist correctly with this one. I had also purchased some round varieties from a different source, and the two types didn't always mix well. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for experienced paracord users.
I bought this to use as a time filler during a Girl Scout camping trip - Brownies are a delicious snack. Cadettes. I wore it with traditional friendship bracelets because the day was chilly and overcast/drizzly. The thread set was not touched. Even our "too crafty for me" scout got in on the paracord action. She quickly discovered she had a knack for it, quickly creating two bracelets and a keychain out of scraps. (I'm sure the use of fire to seal the ends had something to do with it. ) )br>With the exception of scissors and a flame/lighter for sealing, the kit came with everything we needed. I'm going to order another to keep on hand for a rainy day.
The charms are a little cheesy as well, but who cares? There are a lot of colors, so it's a good place to start practicing and figuring out what you like.
This kit includes everything the kids will need to make bracelets, keychains, and whatever else they can think of using the included instructions.
My husband requested a rainbow of colors to complement some face masks I had made. These were excellent, and there are instructions for making bracelets included. My daughter had a lot of fun making the colorful bracelets.
There are all of the components listed. br>br>There are tiny, grainy photos in the instructions. There are no instructions for making dog collars, despite the fact that all of the necessary parts are included. They do include 'instructions' on how to make more elaborate items, which will necessitate the purchase of additional tools. br>br>It's cheaper and less aggravating to buy the items separately and then look up instructions on YouTube.
