Yes, on every flight I've taken, I've been able to obtain it. However, always double-check with your airline to ensure that the smaller commuter planes can accommodate this size in the overhead bins.
This is something I've checked on a number of domestic and international flights. I fold it up and place it in my regular luggage, then stuff it with dirty clothes for the return flight. This allows me to store purchases and souvenirs in my hard-sided luggage. It's a fantastic bag, and I've never had any issues with it being checked.
It's not something I'd look into. You can now be charged for mistreating your luggage by airlines. However, if you pack it in your luggage and stock up on souvenirs, you should be able to take it with you. I just used mine for the first time on two flights, one on a small commuter plane and the other on a large plane. It will fit in the overhead, but I would have crushed it if I had tried to get it under either seat.

I decided to buy the Wandf after looking at photos and reading reviews of all the other very similar sized travel duffels. Only the Wandf has a full-circle nylon strap around the bottom. On a bag made of such a thin, light fabric, this is critical. All seams are also reinforced on the inside with a type of fabric bias tape that covers the raw fabric edges of the seams. All of the seams were tested, from top to bottom. I looked for any flaws or holes in the structure. and came up empty-handed br>I haven't tried it as an airline travel bag under the seat, but I'm confident it will hold up. It's the only one that comes close to being 8 inches deep. The "cabin bag" from Frontier Airlines is the closest to the maximum dimensions. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've used this bag as an underseat bag on four occasions (on Frontier and United) and have never had a problem with its quality. The rectangle shape completely fills the underwear space, and it's incredible how much can be packed in there! It would be nice if it had a shoulder strap, but that would add weight, and it is fine as it is. br>br>I did cut down a cardboard box to use as part of the interior lining of the bag. It now has a more square shape, as it was previously quite bulgy. I only used two large pieces of cardboard to line the two widest side walls; One of them bent and supported the 8" floor width as well. For this one piece, I used the part of the box with the premade straight bend, which allowed it to fold flat when stored between trips.
When it came time for her to return home, we assumed she wouldn't have enough space in her luggage. When folded, this bag was so small and light that it barely fit in our carry-on luggage for the trip over. Then, sure enough, she had a ton of clothes and shoes to send home with us, and she packed this bag to the brim with them. We checked the bag, and it arrived in one piece after two international flights. The BEST feature is the side strap, which can be slid over the handle of a rolling suitcase to eliminate the need to carry it. This is the most useful and cost-effective item I've bought in a long time.
17139br>Holds my laptop, a week's worth of clothes, a humangus size supplement box, and a lot more.
I had no idea it could be folded into. It appears to be in good condition. I had no idea it folded up into a small pouch, so that's a plus in terms of storage. For scale, I included a hammer in my photos.
This is a fantastic lightweight duffel bag. This is where I keep my king-size pillow, sweater, travel blanket, and neck pillow when I travel. Everything comes out and goes around me once I'm on the plane, and this bag folds down to almost nothing. It fulfills my requirements perfectly. It's small and light, but it's tough. I'm going to put a king-size pillow in it, which will have to be squished to fit lengthwise, but since it's a pillow, it'll be easy. I have no trouble fitting my pillow and other items that help make long plane rides more comfortable.
This bag is fantastic for travel. I bought it for a week-long trip and was able to fit enough clothes, toiletries, shoes, and a camera in it. What I really like about it is that it can fold up into a palm-sized item and be stored for later use while still being able to carry a lot of stuff. I use this on a daily basis to transport gym items and have never had an issue with it absorbing the odor of my dirty socks! br>br>Mkay, just get this duffel bag and nothing else.
We ordered one of these bags to use as a carry-on bag when we returned from a trip that was a little heavier than expected. After receiving it, I placed an order for a second one for my partner. The material is light but sturdy, and the zipper is of good quality; when folded, it takes up no space or weight but holds a lot when opened! We avoided putting sharp or hard objects in it because the shape adapts to the contents, but it handled the weight admirably. It's easy to carry on top of your suitcase, on your shoulders, or in your hands thanks to the various handles. Although it appears to be waterproof, I have yet to put it to the test. For the purpose of its intended use, this bag is of excellent quality.
