I have the medium-sized mat, which will be plenty large for my 8-year-old for many years. For storage, I usually flip it over and lean it against a wall. It protrudes 15 inches from the wall and is 30 inches wide (and 30 inches tall when folded and stacked on its side).
When folded, it measures 17 inches.
I'm not sure, but my granddaughter has had it for a year and she and her cheerleader and gymnastics friends use it and her large folding mad all the time and have never complained.
My granddaughter, who is nine years old, used it because it folds and is quite large. I think a 14-year-old would enjoy it. It's well-made and durable.

I was looking for a good, long-lasting cheese mat for my kids, and this one fits the bill perfectly. I am the mother of a five-year-old daughter. a two-year-old and a two-year-old year- It's also very convenient to have in our home because it folds up, so it's the perfect size for us. When it first arrived, the mat was extremely hard, and it has only softened slightly with daily use. It was probably a little too firm at first. The outer surface of the mat is extremely durable and simple to clean. This is without a doubt a high-quality product. This is a high-quality product that is well worth the money. Free shipping on such a large item was also a big plus. br>br>I would highly recommend this mat for use at home as well as in a gymnastics or tumbling program. This is an excellent company to support because they produce the highest-quality, most colorful, and long-lasting mats available. I've found something that is as close to commercial grade and professional as I can get for home use. I have two of their floor mats, as well as the medium sized wedge, in our grandkids' playroom. The problem isn't with the quantity of the hits, but with the quality of the hits. IN THE INTERESTS OF THE BUSINESS: Please use higher-quality plastic to wrap your goods. The wedge came in a good cardboard box (though it could have been thicker), but the plastic was ripped in several places. Dark marks were visible on the wedge wherever it had been ripped. I scrubbed and scrubbed with various cleaners, but all I managed to do was lighten them. It's a shame they don't appear to be brand new after paying such a low price, but since that's how the products are packaged, there's no point returning them because the next one could be even worse. These are unrivaled in terms of utility. Please use a thicker, more durable plastic and keep them CLEAN for future customers. However, that is in exchange for a fantastic product!.
This mat is well-made, but it is extremely stiff and hard; I teach gymnastics, and my students complain that it hurts them more than other mats. If you're looking for a sturdy mat to do back tucks off of, this is it; however, it's hard and slick for back handsprings and walkovers.
This was a Christmas present for my almost two-year-old son, and he absolutely adores it! I'm a former cheerleader, gymnast, and cheer coach, so I know what a good mat looks like. I knew I wanted a nice, sturdy mat that would stand the test of time and last for years. It's extremely light, easy to pick up and move with just one hand, and the covering is nice and thick. The mat has a good grip. We chose the medium size so that if he decides to pursue gymnastics, he will be able to practice for a long time; we are very pleased with our purchase.
This is where old works on his back walkovers. It's firm, but soft enough to protect you in the event of a fall. My daughter is 53" tall, so the size is perfect for her. I believe we ordered a medium size. It can also be folded for storage. The lack of a chemical odor appeals to me.
It's ideal for working on her backbends and assisting her with the back walkovers she'll need for dance. The mat is firm and sturdy, but it still provides cushion for any "misses. " It's light enough to store in the workout room, but I can bring it upstairs if she wants to play with her friends for a longer period of time, and the price on Amazon was by far the best I could find after shopping around for a few weeks.
She got her back handspring down pat and now uses it for box jumps and practice.
