This pot is not capable of taking on more heat. In that case, you can try using another pot that is made of metal only. Fires do produce a lot of heat, so much that it goes beyond the side of the pot, melting just about everything in its path.

I never got the chance to try it on I have purchased these kits in the past and never had a need for them. The pouch is in black and very small, so it is extremely easy to lose. I spent an hour trying to find what I was looking for at home. This is a waste of time.
It is well-made, simple and straightforward. In camp, it's often easier to find a level surface to hang your Reactor stove than find a place to hang it. Because this hanging kit is so well made, I had no trouble adapting it to fit my needs. My tent is rock solid and I tested this in a tent hanging inside. I don't have to worry about my stove falling or my MSR pots breaking. I highly recommend this book.
