Is this rim compatible with a 9-loop rim?

I haven't decided yet. This didn't fit my rim because there were too many loops, but I'm not sure what size rim I have. I calculated the number of loops required and purchased one from an online pool supply store.

What is the total number of loops?

There are 12 loops on the net in the picture.

Is this suitable for an 8-loop rim?

My rim has more than eight loops (I believe twelve), and it fits perfectly.

I bought this for my pool hoop because the description said it fit a smaller rim, but it is a regular size net

Nice quality, but a little pricey, and I use it to cover my pool basketball hoop, so it gets a lot of use as well as exposure to the elements
