Questions & Answers

While the product description claims that it "never requires calibration," others claim that it must be returned to the factory every three years. Is something different now?

ZIPLEVEL does not require factory calibration, but it does necessitate a factory recharge of its hydro-electric system. every two - pneumatics 3 years for a fraction of the price of most traditional instruments' annual calibration. When a recharge is required, ZIPLEVEL will flash "Cord" on the display, and readings may not be repeatable. See ziplevel for more information. More information is available at www.com/service.

The end of a water hose that is exposed to the sun reads as high. What is the technology that allows the temperature to be adjusted?

That is exactly right. ZIPLEVEL is a pressurized hydrostatic altimeter that does not contain water or function in the same way that a water level does. To prevent the formation of bubbles, ZIPLEVEL employs a proprietary inert liquid and pressurizing gas. Separate temperature sensors and custom factory calibrated software are used to compensate for temperature variations in both the Cord and the pressure sensing electronics. In addition, on page 32 of the User Guide, there are tips for getting the best results.

Mine is still operational after four years, but the screen occasionally displays the word "cord." So, what exactly is it?

This blinks to indicate that the factory Cord needs to be recharged, which happens every three years. It's also possible that there's a problem with the cords.

I'm a strong believer in 2000 Even after recalibration after factory service, it gave inconsistent readings. Is anyone else familiar with this? options?

Review Page 32 of the User Guide, How to Measure Accurately, and check indoors if the problem persists. If the problem persists, contact the factory; there may have been a problem with your factory recharge or a subsequent component failure.

I'm a little disappointed
3/5

I guess I'll just have to admit that the Ziplevel product, which costs $1000, has consistently disappointed me. My water level was about $30 and I used a 00 tool that is supposed to be very precise. It took me an hour and a half to put it together on a Saturday morning at 00. It's a pain to set up and use the water level, but it's extremely accurate and repeatable. With the Ziplevel, you first discover that repeatability to the tenth-order is possible. The inch level is not very strong. If you make a grid of points with a fixed zero and come back to it every day, a point will occasionally be 0. 1. on occasion - Occasionally 1, but not always. Maybe not bad for a rough job, but not as precise as one might think. It's not as precise or repeatable as my home-made version. made water level (manometer), and certainly not accurate enough for work that could be called into question, such as floor level surveys for home damage assessments. Then there's the cost and hassle of having to send it back every couple of years or so to be recharged, which costs $200. This is not revealed until after the purchase has been made. In fact, it is advertised as "never requiring factory calibration. " While this is technically correct, they are using semantics to their advantage. No. It is not necessary to return it for calibration. However, you must return it for recharging at a not-for-profit organization. Not to mention the hassle and cost of shipping, which is negligible. When you only use it a few times a year, you start to wonder if it's worth it compared to other methods that don't necessitate bi-annual visits. I also ordered the carpet tip as part of the annual service. br>br> One might expect a new machined plug for the rod's end based on the photo; however, a new rubber foot, possibly with a stainless tip Instead, you can get it for $29. 00, you'll receive a new rubber foot with (literally) a regular-sized hole in it. It was pierced by a long-forgotten nail. They even throw in a couple of extra nails for good measure. But, of course, I have a whole box of "spares" in my garage on the shelf. I could probably have done this for about fifty cents at Home Depot if I had looked around. As I say. I'm a little disappointed.

It really works
5/5

I don't use it very often, but it's very impressive; I use it to build decks and pavers for patios. However, my favorite thing to do with it is to show it to the customer during an estimate. They've rarely seen one before, and they're usually quite taken aback by the technology - As a result, you'll make more money!.

On the Same Page! Technidea has leveled the playing field for Home Inspectors and Surveyors alike, as the use of altimeter technology far outweighs the rod and stick method of level determination, as well as the black magic that surrounded previous methods of level determination
5/5

While the instrument is a little pricey, it is well worth the investment and is impressive right out of the box with one-finger operation, which makes me look smart and gives clients who see the technology in action confidence. Whut! Thank you, Lord (and God), for bringing this product to my doorstep!.

For construction companies, this is a fantastic tool
5/5

Lasers, optical tools, water levels, and old-fashioned levels come in a variety of shapes and sizes, making them an excellent tool for construction companies. We've found endless uses for this because it's so accurate and simple to use. We'll be filming pre-pour forms, post-pour floors, and pre-delivery forms. If you have a 20-foot ridge board, use the unipod adaptor to get a top reading from below while standing firmly on the joists. Without fish to the superintendents, the accuracy is dead on.

Accurate to a factor of ten
4/5

In high precision mode, 01" is displayed. The application we were trying to use it for wasn't quite right, so we had to resort to self-leveling 360-degrees. laser with a degree of precision.
