**Within a day of sending in my comments about the problem with the board, I was contacted and informed that I would be receiving a replacement board; I will provide an update once I receive the replacement board; so far, great customer service! *
While this is a great idea for reducing waste, we are no longer able to enter information. We've tried cleaning the board, but we still can't write scores on the dry erase surface. Furthermore, there was a scratched square in the bottom of the column, and we couldn't enter anything in that square; this was no big deal; we simply didn't use that column. We are no longer able to use it. I liked the idea of a dry erase scorecard, but it was too bad.
Rather than using low-cost whiteboard material, use high-quality acrylic plastic. Smudges or writing from the markers are not left behind when you erase it. The markers aren't great, but they do the job, as others have stated. I'll eventually need to replace them with something a little better.
I purchased this large, reusable score board to go with my newly purchased large foam dice, which we use to play Yahtzee (or Rollzee) outside. This isn't some flimsy card stock; it's made of thick plastic and includes two markers. There is one minor flaw in this system. When you roll an additional Yahtzee, which is usually worth 100 points, there is no Category or score area to mark. Unless you're playing with a bitter loser who insists that if it's not on the scorecard, it doesn't count, there's enough room for a workaround of simply placing a check mark to the side. Lol.
For the games, these are ideal. Instead of using paper, you can use and erase them.
Yardzee is a great game to play with these dry erase boards. I have nothing but praise for them. We used to use paper ones that had been laminated. These are made of a material that looks like it belongs on a board. They are lightweight and have a clip for a marker.
It came in a small cardboard box, but when I opened it, I could tell it had been used because of the wear. Scratches, chipped corners, and other flaws are visible in the photos. It appears to be very durable and practical, but the item's quality and condition have disappointed me greatly.
However, I wish it had all of the possible scoring combinations for Farkle. But it's perfect for our extra-large yard dice.
Reusable Farkle/Yahtzee scorecards are a great product. I'm glad to be able to support a business that gives back to the community.
