I sent this to a construction site, but I believe it was under 3 pounds. It wasn't too heavy.
In the rain, I haven't used it yet. It is extremely long-lasting and practical.

I got it yesterday and overnight charged the rechargeable battery. Says 8. Charging time is 5 hours. After 15 hours, there is still no charge. (br>br>(br>br>(br>br>(br>br>( I got a second one, and it's behaving in the same way. After 30 hours of charging, the color of the device is still red.
This worked well for the first few months I had it, when I used it sparingly and ensured that it was kept in the proper environment. The battery would then stop working even after hours of charging, rendering the device completely useless. I also tried replacing the energizer batteries with new ones rather than the rechargeable ones that came with the megaphone, but that did not help. Although I did not anticipate this megaphone lasting decades, I did anticipate it lasting at least a year. This experience has left me feeling very disappointed and frustrated.
It's a bit loud, but it gets the job done. I'd prefer if the microphone was of higher quality; Single diaphram microphones have a metallic sound to them that gets worse at higher volumes, though no one will be able to understand you even at maximum volume. This is the bullhorn to buy if you want to be heard but don't want to spend more than $100.
I received this item and immediately began charging the battery. When you go to plug it in the next morning, it won't turn on. Put c- I put in new cell batteries and they worked fine, so I'm not sure how to rate this until I get a new battery.
This is why I gave it a four-star rating. It's because I think the construction could have been a little better. I'm not sure if there's a way to make the molding more durable. br>However, the overall price is reasonable, and the product performs well. It's very loud, and the more you say, the louder it becomes. br>Alternatively, you can remove the plastic covering the battery slot and use the included portable battery. Or you. You can keep it going by purchasing more batteries. br>It was a wise purchase.
To cut a long story short, the first time I tried to charge it, I fried the charger and (most likely) the battery. "OK, Boomer," I know you're thinking. "br>Anyhoo, it also runs on "C" cell batteries, so I'll be able to use it for the time being, but I'll have to replace the battery and charger if I want to use it without the 2 lbs. It was loaded with a lot of batteries. On the plus side, I can do bicep curls with it while I'm using it, which allows me to pump up and challenge anyone who says "OK Boomer" to a fight.
The rechargeable battery was defective when it arrived. I never saw a green light, and I followed all of the instructions. The product box appeared to have been returned to Amazon with a taped lid and redistributed.
After three uses, it has stopped working. The first time I plugged in the megaphone's charger, it BURNS. The vendor refused to send me a replacement. br>Amazon gave me a $10 promotional code that I can't use because it only applies to ssa products, which are terrible. br>It's possible that the megaphone is about to break. Only three times did I use it. I'll take a look at it and see what I can do. DO NOT PURCHASE! br> It was a horrible experience.
