It uses about 8 d batteries, but they last a long time; however, I only use it a few times a week for short periods of time.br>Regardless, it's a good product.
The unit has a problem. To get mine to work on PA, you have to press the siren button, then turn it off, then back on. However, it is not muffled.
Plastic. This book comes highly recommended. It really works.

Buying this megaphone was the best decision I've ever made because it allows me to yell across the street at people or from my balcony without straining my voice. Simply nice things, such as complimenting a couple on their cuteness or wishing someone a pleasant day. Also, how the birds aren't real and are actually government drones spying on us. SHEEPLE, GET UP! SATAN IS OUT ON THE RUN, AND WE MUST STAY WATCHFUL! It's not too heavy, and it has a cool alarm sound, making it a lot of fun to use. A group of strangers at a bar were greeted with a Happy Birthday song. It was a huge hit! br>It's a must-read for anyone who wants to be free of pain and loneliness.
Four (4) cell batteries [description]. Nice productbr>br>One thing to keep in mind: "[It] works with just four D batteries," according to the Amazon description. br>br>As stated on the box, it requires six (6). br>br>Batteries are also referred to as UM- in the instructions. 1 cells that are actually D cells br>br>Apart from that, this is a fantastic product.
It turned out to be much better than I had anticipated. We needed it to help our voices travel a long distance (at least 1000 yards) through trees and other natural obstacles, and it worked perfectly. It is lightweight, has a handheld microphone, a siren, and a few other features. Even from a distance, vocal projection is loud and clear. We're very happy with it, and it fulfills our needs perfectly.
This megaphone was placed on my order. It came in a timely fashion. The box has been opened. Four D batteries (not included) are required, according to the instructions. I bought batteries from a store. Got home. Batteries were put in place. UH OH! THERE ARE SIX BATTERIES REQUIRED, NOT FOUR! I returned to the store and bought more batteries. Megaphone is an effective device. But. Two trips to the store for batteries because the instructions are wrong demonstrates a lack of regard for customers.
The black plastic around the front part of the megaphone peeled off for no apparent reason within the first week after I bought it a few months ago. I never touched it, but it could have come loose when I dropped it. Another issue is that the cover comes off too easily, making it difficult to pick up the heavy batteries, which is similar to dropping grenades, which can be dangerous. The problem is that the hatch isn't properly secured, especially since it's holding several heavy batteries. br>br>As long as you're careful, it shouldn't be too inconvenient, but I'd buy the better one they sell if it has a better hatch system.
Wow, this thing is loud, and it even has a CB-radio built in. transmitter in the style of What's more, it's only $20. I took it to a party where we had to maintain a certain amount of social distance. I also put on a mask and gloves. It went over extremely well. The only issue was that everyone wanted to use the megaphone, so I'd recommend pairing it with some sanitizing wipes. Not to mention the batteries! (They aren't part of the package).
I'm a soccer coach, and I needed to replace an older 25-watt (much more expensive) megaphone. I was looking for a 40-watt Pyle megaphone, and this was it. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I'd only use once in a while, so I decided to try out this megaphone. br>br>According to the Amazon description, the sound will travel 800 yards, while the box claims 1,000 feet. All I know is that this device is extremely powerful, and it will undoubtedly be more than enough for what I intend to use it for. The audio can be adjusted, and there is a police-like siren as well as a built-in classical music track to listen to. As a teacher and coach, I've discovered that students and people in general respond better to an amplified spoken voice than to one that is unassisted and straining to get louder (the strained voice is perceived as yelling at them rather than speaking to them). br>One of the first things I did was reach for the megaphone's trigger to speak into it, only to discover that it was missing. Because the megaphone comes with a plug-in handheld microphone, the lack of a trigger isn't a big deal (and likely contributed to lower production costs). In any case, I prefer the handheld mic. br>To summarize, I would strongly advise this megaphone for casual or semi-professional use. user who is not a professional We'll see how it holds up over time (Pyle offers a one-year warranty if you register the product online).
We have a 15-passenger van, and it's nearly impossible to communicate with people in the back without yelling (due to distance, road noise, and others listening to music, among other factors)! This takes care of the issue. Not only is this loud enough to easily communicate with everyone in the van, but the siren is also effective at attracting attention, and the music is irritating (a great bribe to get people to calm down). We also tried the PMP20 model first, but it was insufficiently powerful, despite the fact that I preferred the smaller size.
