Questions & Answers

Does anyone know how much it weighs?

The picture, on the other hand, appears to be much larger than it is. It's about the same size as a regular whistle, and it's made of plastic. To give you an idea of the weight, I have a small bottle of eye drops next to my laptop.

Is it possible to use this whistle if it is wet or partially soaked? I'm thinking about using a kayak, and I might need to blow after a dive. ?

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't. There isn't a single pea in it. It's nothing more than a pealess hollow whistle. As a result, it's possible that you'll have to blow it out the first time. It works in the rain and in heavy snow, so it should be fine once it's cleared. However, I have never used it completely submerged. br>It's also excruciatingly loud and peircing.

Is the lanyard included in the package the same color as the whistle option, i.e. What's the difference between black and black? What's the difference between pink and pink? Thx! ?

The lanyard color matches the whistle color in my company's current inventory of these whistles. However, to ensure that you receive exactly what you ordered, I recommend contacting the seller to confirm what they will be sending. I believe we've seen Fox 40 whistles in a variety of colors packaged with black lanyards before, all with the same UPC number.

Is it loud enough to frighten a bear away if I happen to come across one while camping?

It's so loud that you'll want to put your hands over your ears before blowing hard. However, there's no guarantee that a determined bear will be deterred.

It's extremely loud and simple to operate
5/5

This was purchased as a safety precaution and as a backup plan. I obtained a number of them and put them all to the test. It must be simple to blow (even a child or an injured adult can do it) and extremely loud to achieve what I desire. STORM Safety Whistle and FOX40 Sonik Blast were the best of the ones that claimed to be the loudest on hearth. The STORM is a bit large, but it is unquestionably the winner. Because of the "pea," the storm has a distinct sound that is pleasing even when a child blows into it. The rest of the Whistles are nothing compared to these two. br>I'm aware that the Storm has a smaller version known as the WINDSTORM, but I've never tried it. They say it's almost as loud as the STORM, but I'm looking for the loudest and most convenient option. I simply chose the largest option. BTW, I purchased two of the "ACME TORNADO 2000" because I believed it would be the winner. Despite the fact that I ordered one in black (for which I paid an additional fee and waited an additional time), it arrived in ORANGE. ) You did a fantastic job. I didn't return any of them because I used both of them for my experiment. Because of how bad it was, I assumed one of them was broken. ) Get a STORM for safety, and the FOX40 Sonik Blast for everything else. I hope this information is useful. ) REMEMBER TO BE SAFE OUT IN THE OUTDOORS!.

For women's self-defense, this is the best I've found
4/5

I bought a few whistles to see which one I liked best for general signaling and emergency use while camping, hiking, backpacking, and so on. This one did not meet the criteria for this category of need for the following reasons: Because it requires a lot of air, it will be difficult for a child or an injured adult to do, B. It's only possible to blow it loudly, not softly, C. It's far too loud and obnoxious. br>br>However, it would be ideal for a female's anti-aging regimen. Whistle of assault It's incredibly loud, shrill, strident, and disconcerting. I'd imagine that, in addition to being well-known, it would have a negative connotation. Having a psychological impact on an assailant - Because of the loud, jarring nature of the sound it produces, it may cause some attackers to hesitate or weaken their resolve.

These are the whistles that we use most often when lifeguarding
5/5

We've used the most powerful whistle so far. When wet, it's a cinch to use. To keep them from getting lost in the lake, we attach a float to the lanyard. The lanyard clip is the only drawback (and it's the same on all of them because we've bought over 20 in the last two years). The lanyard's clip is even flimsier than the buckle's breakaway mechanism. If someone pulls on your whistle or it gets caught during a rescue, the whistle will be pulled away from the lanyard and the lanyard will be left behind. To correct this, we remove the clip and attach the whistle to the lanyard directly; it's a tight fit, but it works.

This is the pinnacle of safety horns
5/5

The safety whistle is fantastic. It fulfills all of the requirements for a safety whistle. LOUD. It doesn't jam because there isn't a pea in it. While blowing, the water was easily removed. It's strong, but it's not too heavy. Furthermore, the grips around the mouthpiece are easy to hold with the lips or teeth, allowing for hands-free operation. Storm of one's own, acme, and a few others are among them. This is the one I'll be taking with me.

Loud and high pitched
5/5

My cat and dog have different opinions about it!   When I use this, I'll be with my cat and dog who are in need of assistance. br>br>Using it is only beneficial if it does not exacerbate your danger. The issue is demonstrated in this video. br>br> br>br>I need to restrain or confine my cats so that we can all be together when or if we get HELP after using this extremely loud whistle. br>br>Any attention for the dog is a plus! It hurts my ears.

YOU ARE GOING TO BE LISTENED TO! This whistle was purchased to aid ground teams in their search and rescue efforts
5/5

You should cover your ears before blowing this to its maximum potential, so pay attention to what I'm saying. You won't be able to listen to me later if you don't do this! THAT IS HOW LOUD IT IS. br>In the woods, the first test produced echoes from multiple directions that arrived almost a second apart. br>Compact, light weight, great lanyard with breakaway plus adjustment slider, no moving parts, and insanely loud. Purchase this and make your friends jealous.

However, it is quite loud
3/5

I really like how this has a rubber bite tab! Wind Storm (both models) and Hyper Whistle, on the other hand, are far louder than this one. I wanted it for our out-of-door dog recall in the woods and fields, as well as a personal emergency whistle. The other two are clearly superior, but if you value convenience and comfort over decibel reduction, this is a viable option. This is probably a great ref whistle for indoor sporting events because it's VERY compact, making it more convenient to use, and the rubber wrap on the mouthpiece allows it to be held in between your teeth or lips very comfortably.

It's even better than the original! The Fox40 Classic whistle is more difficult to blow, louder, and smoother
5/5

As a soccer official and a lifeguard (indoor, outdoor, and open-water), I've always been an outspoken supporter of Fox40 whistles. I've had the Classic for years and use it regularly, but now I have two of these and they're my new go-to. whistles, which are used in both lifeguarding and soccer. It has a distinct, loud, sharp, commanding tone that carries over long distances and is distinguishable from background noise. My criticism of the Classic was that it required a lot of force to get a clear sound, but the Sonik doesn't seem to require as much force to get a solid blast. I can't recommend this highly enough if you work somewhere where being heard is critical.
