I work in the college sports industry - play high school sports - play in AAU tournaments on the road - This is the only whistle I purchase during the end of the financial year. It's unrivaled, and no other whistle even comes close. An official for Maryland Basketball who works 200 games a year. Tom Taz Twombly is a fictional character created by Tom Taz Twombly.
It was purchased for my sister, who works as a personal trainer. She stated that it produces only one sound.
I've been using and dropping them for almost three decades and have yet to break one.

For years, I've used this particular brand of whistle. I keep one with my camping gear, hiking backpack, fishing vest, and in the emergency kit of my vehicle. I've given them to college friends to use as a campus safety whistle. They appeal to me because of their high volume, which can be heard from a great distance. There's no ball to get fouled up on, and there's no sound to be muffled by. The plastic is tough and won't peel the skin off your lips like a metal one would in cold weather. Very affordable; I lose one every two or three years, and replacing it is not prohibitively expensive (a great gift item!).
This is something I bought for my husband to use in his large classroom. It isn't a whistle, according to his students. It's a Lhistle (a whistle for losers)! It appears to be something you'd get for free at a happy meal. I suppose what you pay for is what you get.
It is impossible to reach 115 decibels if you are elderly or have limited lung capacity. This whistle is completely unsuitable for use as a signal whistle in an emergency. If you tried to use this whistle to signal for help for more than a few seconds, you'd become hyperventilated. Maybe I got a bad one, but I'd think Canada has a good quality control system. This whistle, in my opinion, is only appropriate for very short bursts by young, giddy referees.
I've used this particular whistle for my hunting dog on and off over the years. It appeals to me for two reasons: In windy conditions, its distinctive high-pitched whistle is easy to hear. But mostly because it doesn't have a pea to freeze in freezing temperatures. If the above points apply to your needs, I would recommend this product.
These whistles are very loud and effective. It sounds similar to the whistles used at sporting events and other events. br> I keep one in the basement in case of tornadoes and one in my boats in case the boat horn fails. These whistles aren't quite as loud as the orange survival whistles that claim to be the loudest, but they do the job just as well.
The music is both good and loud. The cord lasts a long time, but it discolors due to the sun and chlorine. It's quite loud, but it takes some practice to get a good strong blow out of it. Once that was done, everyone could hear me at the pool from a distance of several hundred feet.
This whistle is fine; the noise is acceptable; however, you must blow hard to activate it, which may be a problem depending on your intended use. I'm a little disappointed that the string isn't as short as it appears in the photos, but it's not a major flaw. This product is, on the whole, acceptable.
Extremely loud and crystal clear. It's as clear as a whistle, but it's also very serious. The problem is that you have to blow it hard, as a soft blow will only produce a weak garbled sound - Wrap your lips around it firmly and blow it enthusiastically, and you'll be rewarded with a massive sound. This is, without a doubt, my favorite whistle. It always works, even if it's full of water (just remember to blow harder if it's full of water so the fluid ejects while you're blowing). It does a fantastic job of projecting - From a mile across a lake, you can easily hear it. For lifeguards or just personal safety, this is a must-have item.
