A lock would be nice, but other than that, this is a fantastic knife. No worries about it falling out because I keep it in a zippered chalk bag pocket (cotapaxi).

Great for running on a rescue harness, this knife is nice and light

Straps and rope can be cut easily with a knife. The only disadvantage I can think of is that if you work in dirt like I do, it can become caked with dirt and rocks; preventing it from being locked in the open position.
