Questions & Answers

Could you please tell me if the loops on the 14 3/8" side exit the loop system and the 16" side? I'd like to add rivet snaps to a seat and that could make a difference. ?

Whether you reinforce one side or the other will not matter. My boat is equipped with a 30ft floating line, which I keep readily available in case of emergency. I also keep several extra lifejackets with me on board.

In what sense is material defined? What type of material is better, vinyl or ?

There seems to be some type of nylon in the material. Like the material used in making deer blinds, it has the appearance of aluminum.

Will this cover be slip-resistant if used on a sailboat like the old Nagahyde?

My opinion is that it would be slippery to sit on, since the cover is nylon. A long time ago, the old style cushion was vinyl and filled with Kapock. Poly foam closed cell is used in this new model.

What is the material like? Does it ?

Even though it doesn't make you sweat, it doesn't absorb sweat or keep you cool either. It will be easier for the material to stay cool if it is white.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE A WISE BUYER! The worst piece of junk I have ever seen
3/5

There is only a small amount of stitching on the strap to hold it in place. Despite being thin and likely to tear easily, the outer fabric is stitched with a single stitch, so there is little chance of it failing. Despite its loose nature, the fabric is slippery and prone to slipping. As it is not one solid piece, this foam is composed of a bunch of sheets stacked one on top of the other. I think this is a waste of time and money. Even if it was allowed to be sold here, it would be a violation. It is best to get one from a local shop so that you know what you are getting. You can also buy a brand that you know.

As if it "flowed"
5/5

The functionality is as expected. The purpose of the e-mail is not what it is meant for either. In addition to being a boat bumper, it can also be used for a seat cushion. I have not needed to use it as a float, but I threw it in the water to see if it was effective. As light as I am, the material kept me above water without issue, so the device functions as.

These fit the bill nicely for a product at this price
4/5

I built a small boat to fish in protected waters, and I wanted something that would keep my butt from going numb. In the poly covering, the outer layer looks like rip-stop nylon, and there is several layers of foam inside. The fact that they are lower seems to be a drawback to some but I feel it makes the chairs more comfortable to sit in. There is a video review on my YouTube channel, which you can watch by clicking.

It is loose on the inside and it is comfortable to sit on, however, there are a number of flat pieces of buoyancy filler inside the outer cover that move around
4/5

For the pieces to stay in place, the cover needs to be smaller than the filler pieces.

We've got it all at such a good price! Although this throwable floatation cushion may meet USCG specifications, it doesn't meet mine! This cushion has thin, stacked layers of foam with a baggy cover, which makes the whole thing unstable
3/5

Due to its size, the layers of foam are so thick that they separate and slide around. I imagine that it would float, but I believe it would be ruined in a single My boating experience goes back a long time, and I have owned numerous floatation devices. However, not one was so poorly designed as this one. Additionally, the package came wrapped in YARDS of cheap plastic -- such a blight on The packaging might be used in a marine supply company if it were environmentally friendly. It is obvious that I will be returning this item right away, it is wrapped in recycled paper.

This is kind of a cheaply made item
3/5

However, it works for the price. Decent product. It does what is supposed to do. In terms of the price, there's nothing to complain about. The only complaint I have is that the foam material has layers and I can sense each layer individually. Would have preferred it if that was a solid foam piece. You're probably familiar with cheap Chinese products. The only thing left to do was to have it pass government inspections.

We are very satisfied with our purchase, and we plan to make more in the future
5/5

We cannot purchase this item in our area at the moment, since it is considered a seasonal product. This is a great deal for the price, and it is well built and better than what the stores had when they sold it.

There is poor quality in this product
3/5

The thought of using it makes me nervous. It is a material of extreme fragility. While it might be a lifesaving gadget, I would hesitate to rely on it to save my life. It may still meet coast guard requirements.
