Because it's made of foam, it'll get wet and then dry. For a kayak, I would avoid it. You'll need a cushion that can withstand the elements.

The thickness is only 2" In the description, it was said to be 3" thick

It clearly stated 2" on the tag, which is correct; however, I purchased it solely for the 3" cushion.

For Father's Day, I gave my old father the chair he sits in outside. He absolutely adored it! I expected it to be a little bigger, but I should have read the description more carefully. It's really thick, which I like.

It is not a pleasant experience

In the end, I used it to cool people down when it was hot outside. There isn't much of a buffer here. When I purchased this, I was 9 months pregnant and decided to sit on metal bleachers rather than this.
