This either came with a small hole in the bottom or developed one the day I sat on it, as my wife noticed when I showed her my latest purchase that night. br>br>Because it'll rip again, I ordered a new one. The replacement was filthy and didn't even come with a bag. Someone had attempted to scrape off a sticky stain. That object was returned to me. br>br>I returned to the original purchase and double-checked everything: There's a buckwheat-filled inner cover inside the outer cover. filled cushion with a thin but reasonably durable fabric (not meant to last forever, but adequate). br>br>However, it's the decorative outer cover that's a waste of money. The flimsiest of microfibers, stitched in a haphazard manner. br>br>I was thinking- After all, I might be able to keep this. I reached out to Gaiam to see if they could sell me a new cover or if I could buy a replacement cover, but they don't make or sell it. br>br>A sturdy canvas cover would have been a better choice for this cushion, making it suitable for long-term use. Instead, I now have a single-use plastic item with no spare parts. br>br>As is the case with most things, you get what you pay for. br>br>Perhaps as a Hail Mary, I'll try to get a more durable cover made for it by someone who knows how to sew. At the very least, the insides would be salvaged rather than being discarded. [ETA: ]br>br>- I've given up on this idea]br>br> br>br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - After all, I decided to return this item instead of going through the hassles of refurbishing it. I also ordered a Dharmacraft from Amazon, based on a reviewer's recommendation. That one is more expensive, but it is by far the better product: a thicker cover, a firmer fill cushion, and an ethical company to boot. It is well worth the money.
It's too short for me, and when I lay it flat, it hurts my back. Yoga has been beneficial in this regard, but for the time being, I must sit on my knees rather than in the half-lotus position that I prefer. I also dislike buckwheat hulls because they are not particularly comfortable to sit on. While they allow you to adjust to your body, there is far too much room for error, and I usually spend a few minutes fiddling with it before sitting down. I figured out that I could cover it with a fleece blanket to make it more comfortable, and that helped. For the time being, I'm satisfied with it, but if I keep practicing, I'll be able to progress to something better in the future.
It doesn't appear to be the same as in the picture. It resembles a bean bag ball more than anything else. I've purchased a number of your items. This is the first time in my life that I have been let down. My cat, on the other hand, prefers to be outside, so I kept it.
I'm 6' and 193 pounds, so the outer cover bag stretched a little after a week of daily use. It felt like a bean bag chair when I was sitting in it. So here's what I got: Replacement Hulls for Buckwheat Pillows: Zen Chi 100%Organic Premium Buckwheat Hulls - Zen Chi 100%Organic Premium Buckwheat Hulls - Zen Chi 2 Lb Refill Bagbr>I ended up filling the cushion with about 1/2 pound to make it more flat than sinking where I sit. Now it's working perfectly.
This cushion is firm, but it's also very comfortable. It's also a good height, which relieves some of the pressure on my ankles and knees. You can adjust the filling material to your preference; I left mine full because I like the firmness it provides. I got mine in the color teal, which isn't quite as deep or bright in person as it appears in the photos, but it's still a nice color. The fact that the cover can be removed and washed is also a plus.
As a pregnant woman trying to use the best fetal positioning techniques while sitting at home on the floor or on the couch, I ordered this pillow. I like the size, shape, and fill of the pillow, but I don't like the fabric used for the cover because it is microfiber. I pulled it out of the box and it was like suede, collecting dog hair and lint immediately. While I'm not a particularly messy person, keeping all dog hair off the floor on a daily basis is extremely difficult for me as a dog owner. I'll keep using this pillow, but I wish the "washable cover" was more clearly stated in the description.
I was looking for something to help me find a comfortable position in which to begin a meditation program, and this was exactly what I needed. The product has a firm feel to it, but it isn't uncomfortable. I'm a 5'10" guy who weighs 220 pounds. It does a great job of supporting me.
This is fantastic. They're of excellent quality and look fantastic. We've been using them for the past two years in our meditation group. Blue, purple, and black are the colors we have. I am extremely happy. They have a zipper around one side of the bag that allows you to add or remove buckwheat shells. We've never seen any shells come loose while sitting on them or throwing them around for storage.
