So far, they are using blue pucks, and they don't have any big shots. They will be able to use it. A lightweight stick with a fairly well-made appearance, and a bright red color, makes it a popular item among kids. You can't curve the paddle because it's made of hard plastic that is flexible, but also rigid. I suppose I could curve it if I loaded up a few books on top for a few days, but flat suits me just fine.

Playing around with my kids with this stick has been a lot of fun

Playing around with this stick in the driveway is a lot of fun for my kids. Not as light as it could be. In the case of a serious street hockey player, I wouldn't suggest it.

I can't really think of a way to lighten it since it's so heavy, but it's solid so I don't have any ideas on how you can I am really pleased with how well it works and how well it has held up. I really like how it turned out.
