Yeah, mine broke as well. I just bought a new stick because I didn't want to deal with the hassle.
Yes, the curve is slanted to the left.
If you're wearing skates that are about 3" plus, just measure with a tape measure like a stick and add a couple of inches (46" for kids).

With this bad boy, I've had a lot of fun. The stick is made of solid wood and is quite long. I'm a complete noob, but I can bend the stick pretty well. I'd buy it again for the same price.
I'm used to plastic blades that bend and flex to whatever shape you want; this one has a stiff plywood blade (I'm sure there's fiberglass inside, but it just looks like painted wood) that doesn't bend or flex very much. It appears to be quite long-lasting. If you play more than once a month, the plastic shrink wrap on the handle will need to be covered with athletic tape.
A little shorter than a standard adult stick, with a grip that matches. The first hour of use was when it broke.
I bought two of these, and one was splitting and the other was completely broken after only two weeks. Franklin's hockey goal, which had been purchased at the same time, had disintegrated in a matter of days. I sent emails to the company but received no response. Buy a better brand if you have the extra cash.
It's built to last. My son was in between sizes, so we had to trim it down a little. In my opinion, it's far superior to anything available at big box stores.
Sticks are great. It's not just for the sake of the cash. br>For street hockey, it's solid and well-balanced. br>The blade has a nice curve to it, and the plastic is durable and reacable.
Only a few times did kids use it for street hockey.
Because my son was destroying the blades on his ice hockey sticks while playing in the street, I decided to purchase this stick for him. He likes it, and for the price, I'm not opposed to replacing it when he wears it out.
