The base is heavy and stable because it is filled with sand or water. On a slanted driveway, it should be fine. When there are strong winds, it may be more prone to tipping.
As long as you don't overload it with gravel, it'll be easy to move. If you're going to run into it, you could put a rock or something on top of the base. It is self-contained and only exists to shoot the ball.

Shipping was very quick. I bought this for my 11-year-old son's birthday party and put it together before his guests arrived. I'm not much of a handyman, but I was able to follow the instructions fairly easily. It was a good learning experience for me to have my son assist me in putting it together. It is something he adores. It's a great addition to our driveway, and it provides a lot of fun father-son time after school, as well as a good weekend break from the Xbox with his friends. It's nice and sturdy, and it's already held up against some strong gusts of wind. We put some water in ours (the base).
You must read all of the instructions carefully and follow them to the letter. I was having trouble getting the top tube out of the middle tube, so I pushed it out with the bottom tube. This was a huge oversight because the bottom tube will be slammed into the middle tube later. To separate the tube, I needed to spend an hour and use several tools. I finally got the pole put together correctly, and I'll use pain and tape to cover the scrapes and hide the bare metal. After the pole issue was resolved, the assembly went smoothly. br>br>* I always read several reviews before purchasing a product, so when reviewing, I try to leave as much accurate information as possible to assist others in the purchasing process. There are parts that are missing. This elicited a lot of excitement from my son. I even took a day off work to await the arrival of this basketball hoop. The box is strangely taped up and disfigured when it arrives. Nothing to do with it. When I first opened the box and laid out all of the pieces, I noticed that many of them were missing, dented, or scratched. It's too heavy for me to return to the store, and I'm ashamed of this manufacturer. I'm not sure why Amazon does business with them. It gives you a negative impression.
To put it together, it will take two people two hours. I consider myself to be fairly handy and capable of reading and understanding instructions, but the instructions are a little difficult to understand. The instructions in the online videos could have been clearer. Otherwise, it's a great product that's held up well in the two months that I've had it. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. 4/2017: One year later, it is still going strong. It has withstood the test of time. The product is exposed to the elements all day and night. The appearance is still good. I would definitely buy from them again. br>4/18 Things are still looking good. Has lasted a long time. This was an excellent purchase.

So, this is what I got for my son for Christmas 2018. I attempted to put it together but was unable to do so due to flaws. I called customer service for the rest of my life and provided them with all of the necessary information. They are said to have decided to send new parts to replace the ones that were defective. Its 1/21 has yet to receive those components. Third-party service was terrible. In the future, I wouldn't risk it with a brand. I would not advise anyone to do this.
Parts for the base and board support are missing, and only one side of the part is visible in the photo. As shown in the second photo, this appears to be a common customer complaint. Someone should have done some inspection before sending it out to other customers if this was a known problem. br>br>To date, there has been no response from customer service regarding missing parts.
We went with the black with the orange basketball on the backboard style, which takes a little longer to put together, but I didn't dock any points for it. Overall, this hoop is quite nice. Do not attempt to dunk because the hoop does not bend down. However, it appears to be very sturdy otherwise. My two sons (8 and 10) 10) I really like it. They have had it for about a month and play every day. It's obviously not a regulation-size backboard, and there are far more elaborate models on the market. However, for the money, this is an excellent buy. Also, I bought it new for a birthday present on sale, but a used one will save you money. In addition, we misplaced a wheel, and the company promptly sent us a replacement at no cost. I'm a big fan of what you've done so far. Another neat feature is the round indentation on the base, which allows you to store the ball when not in use. It has a wide range of height adjustments (from regulation to where my ten-year-old can touch the rim when he jumps). br>br>Recent changes: br>br> It's been over three months since we received it. It is extremely popular with the boys. The only thing I'd like to point out is that if you don't completely fill the base, it will be knocked over during a storm. When it was 12 full, that happened to us. Since we filled it up, it hasn't been an issue. There's also no proof that it actually fell. It was scratch-free, indicating that it is a long-lasting product.
It's a good value for the money. My husband filled the base with six large bags of sand. Not a single part was broken when it arrived on time. br>I would buy it again. Thank you.
