As for the weight, this jacket is perfect for my husband. It is very water proof and warm, but is not for extreme cold. The design and finish of this jacket are superb, so it goes well with a wide variety of clothing.

This jacket has a placket with a zippered front closure. On the back is a fleece-lined scarf. A liner would make the jacket more lightweight, but even with a liner it would only be suitable for warmer weather. The size L fits me perfectly in everything I own. An attached sweatshirt makes this windbreaker a bit different than a regular windbreaker. A second sweatshirt can be worn underneath it without causing problems. It won't be a problem for you to stay warm. * I would think from past experience (and so far I haven't worn the jacket for more than 5 minutes) that the outer pocket lining won't last. The same material is used to line the pockets, so it's likely that something will leak into one or both of them. A thicker sweatshirt material should have been used to line it. It is for that reason that I gave this product.

This is my first raincoat, so I'm not sure how long it will last if I wash it, but I am impressed with the quality for the price. The outside is very water repellent (almost like a poncho) and there is a nice soft lining. There's an excellent zipper on it, and there are 2 deep pockets on the side and 1 inside (wallet or breast). The hat is entirely black and has the logo on a small patch. No loud or gaudy items (I do not like that kind of style). Last but not least, the hood extends far enough forward to cover your head and some of your face but does not obscure your.

As I said, the only disadvantage I see with it is it is available in mens sizes, so if you are like me and need one you should get it If you wear a mens small, it will not cover your hips when you zip it up. So I am giving it a rating of 4 since I only gave it four stars.
