It is not polarized, as many of you know if you have owned Oakley or other brands of polarized lenses. The lenses of these sunglasses allow you to see through them, rather than Polarized lenses that would not allow you to see through my eyes. The Rivbos sports sunglasses are a replacement for a pair of Maui Jim's whose lenses had been scratched. There is a rainbow lens on the Rivbo that I purchased. really look funky when you wear them - I'd say they're pretty cool. These lenses are used by me to do sports and hiking. If you are looking to run, I recommend the Rivbos 801 with the vent slots. In comparison to my old Rivbos, my new one fits snugly and feels sturdy. Not having owned the rainbow lens in the past, it takes some time to get used to them. Red is still red, green is still green, so nothing negative about it. Things look good! Hard to explain, but I like the way things are going! In my opinion, they looked cool, and my kids thought so too, which I consider good!

I am replacing a pair of Maui Jims I damaged earlier in the week. If I spent another $300, I could buy a pair of Mauis or 15 Rivbos (or two).
