In my opinion, the number 4 is correct. The diameter of the circle is 5. A circular patch covers the area. It is a beautifully made patch that can be ironed on with ease.

Good job on the patch. I peeled off the backing but part of it stuck to the patch back when I did so. Getting off the boat was impossible. After ironing the patch on my son's backpack for school, it started peeling off after 2 days. It solved my problem to use some permanent fabric adhesive and hand stitch the patch on. He looks really good with the patch I'm happy about it because he loves it!.
