Having grown up in a Jackie Robinson era family, my dad is a Dodger fan. He wore this hat every day during the World Series since I gave it to him for his 89th birthday. His response after they lost was to take off his hat and kiss it and say "We will beat them next year. ". After that, he put the hat back on, then went to sleep. " Almost as much a Dodger fan as he is of that team, this man loves this hat.
You'll love wearing this hat. It's super comfortable and super cute! This versatile piece pairs well with nearly anything.
It is better to go to the mall buy at the store and see what you are buying since the quality is poor for the price. I will not purchase again.
My quest for a Black Astros cap finally ended with finding this one after reading all the reviews. And I really hope it is really black like reviews said. I was very happy to see that it is an all black Astros cap when I received it today. Although it would have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for the bill/visor and the way it connected with the front panel that It may just be a matter of the package having been sitting in storage for a while or just friction while it was being delivered.
Although I normally have trouble finding hats that fit me (I have a small head for an adult) this one is perfect. As stated in the other reviews, the bill is shorter and when adjusted to a smaller size it has no awkward look. It also has an additional feature, which I didn't notice in the picture, a slit in the back for the extra-sized adjustment piece, which is only visible when the cover is on. There's nothing better than a cute LA hat or cap, and mine is white! I did find a small stain on the package on arrival, but it was so minimal that I did not feel I had.
If I'm not mistaken, this color is described as "cardinal. " It is definitely burgundy, though the name is not misleading. In any case, I was replacing an existing item, so I didn't feel disappointed or taken aback by the deal. In regards to the hat, it's made of a comfortable weight cotton and has an adjustable strap made of brown leather. There is just one complaint I have, and that is that it has to be replaced somewhat frequently because the unstructured crown loses its shape, puckers at the seams and effectively shrinks. While I'd rather pay a few dollars more for a Yankees cap in this color and avoid it for a slightly longer time, I'm not able to do that. In addition to that, it's well made like any other '47 hat, and it's perfectly acceptable.
Many of the hats from this company are "clean up" style and fit is usually not an issue, however, these OSFA take up more space than their other hats or my head is smaller than before. It fits me well in a small. A 7. 5/8. In terms of appearance, I didn't find anything to complain about with this hat, other than size. I guess I need to stick with fitted caps going forward, and I won't go out wearing it too often, but it will be nice as an extra.
There's no such thing as a third try! I have a good friend who lives in Orlando and he is an avid Mets fan. As for his first hat, he had no idea what happened to it and for his second hat, he believes it was left behind during a trip. The hat is also his life, so I hope he will guard it as much as he can! It's all in good fun. Despite the fact that he loves his Mets cap, the one he has mentioned is different from the one he has on previously.
