Questions & Answers

Because this is a metal and not flexible, I won't be able to stick it on the back of my car (which isn't a flat surface). Is there anything you could suggest?

The double-sided tape only adheres to three points. There should be no problem as long as those three points are in contact with the car's surface. Hookem' Horns is a catchphrase that refers to a group of people who

My car is leased. Is it possible to remove this without causing damage to the paint later?

My cars, too, are leased. I've never attempted to remove the emblem, and the dealer has never mentioned it, complained about it, charged me for it, or requested that I do so.

Is it possible for this metal to adhere to a jacket made of fabric?

Not really, but you can always give it a shot!

Is this something that can be used over and over again?

I haven't taken it off yet, but I know it's possible with a hair dryer. In terms of redoing things, If you want to use 3M adhesive tapes, you'll need to do some research.

BURNED ORANGE IS NOT AN OPTION! This longhorn emblem appealed to me because of its specific size and orange border
3/5

The emblem I received was found to have three flaws: 1) The emblem is almost 4" wide (actually 3 7/8"), rather than the indicated 3 1/2" wide, which would have fit my SUV, so it doesn't fit as well on the slightly rounded rear of my vehicle. 2) The 3M glue pads are made up of three rectangles that do not adequately cover the back side of the emblem - Wash mitts and chamois can easily be snatched from the tips of the horns. 3) The longhorn's border has been painted inexcusably - the color isn't the expected burnt orange - However, the color is a standard orange. (In addition, the orange paint was applied unevenly and had already chipped in some areas. ) )br>A small scratch appeared on the longhorn's chrome face, but it was not visible from afar. br>This emblem isn't quite as good as the chrome and black longhorn emblems I've previously purchased.

I've bought a Longhorn decal for every car I've ever owned (20 years) because the adhesive is of poor quality
3/5

All of the others have been similar; This one isn't quite up to par. The decal adhesive appears to be thin white foam, which does not match the chrome with black trim, and it is far weaker than any other decal adhesive I've ever owned - The left horn, in fact, does not adhere. I'll keep using this decal until it falls off and ruins the paint on my brand-new car, at which point I'll replace it with a higher-quality decal. Very let down.

Auto emblems that appear to be quite substantial
5/5

For each of our vehicles, we purchased one. I went with the two-tone brushed chrome, which looks great on the cars. They appear more substantial than most I've seen because of their depth. The full doublestick foam tape that completely covered the back of the emblem was a huge hit with me. I ordered double stick foam with the expectation of having to remove pieced adhesive (as some reviews suggested), but I didn't have to. Water should not be able to get behind these because they appear to be firmly adhered. If I ever need to remove them, I believe they will do so without damaging the paint - However, it will most likely be a multi-step process. That's something I think is great!.

Go Horns! This emblem was purchased and placed on my F-150
3/5

The Longhorns will be backed up by a 150 truck. br>Five months later, I noticed the orange accent color was cracking and a large chunk had disappeared. br>Had to scrape off the rest of the colored enamel to avoid looking tacky, and now have a silver-only Longhorn emblem. br>Didn't think it'd go wrong; Especially so soon. Although this truck is parked outside, it has not been washed by an automatic car wash.

Sticky tape was placed in an inconvenient location
3/5

The emblem looked great in the package, but when I tried to apply it, it was clear that the sticky tape had been applied incorrectly, and if I didn't completely remove it and recenter it, the white tape would show through and be unsightly. It clearly lost a lot of adhesion after being removed and reapplied so many times. Essentially, either the manufacturing is subpar or these are resold rejects. Furthermore, the plastic packaging had not been properly sealed - It had clearly been opened before I received it, implying that it had been opened before I received it. This also alerts me to the fact that this item was not brand new and inspected.

This is NOT the University of Texas Longhorn! Look at the image - This is a farce that bears no resemblance to the genuine Bevo symbol
3/5

The UT Longhorn has more rounded horns, a rounded snout, and less pointed ears. Order the real deal from the University of Texas Co-op. Op Bookstore is a place where you can buy books. Simply google universitycoop, then click on gifts, then auto. I gave it two stars because, at the very least, the product's quality is good.

It is a good deal
5/5

Two of our vehicles now have these. They appear to be fantastic. It is necessary to get it stuck on correctly the first time, as it does not stick as well the second time. They've gone through a number of car washes with no issues.

With more tape, it would be even better
4/5

It's well-made and stands out against my blue car. The included adhesive tape is a disadvantage. On the back of the icon, there are three small pieces of tape. The entire back of the icon should be covered with a single piece of tape.
