Below is a list of companies that have confirmed they will support Windows 7 as long as it is supported by them Currently, the patch is only available for Windows 8. 1 and Windows 10, but Microsoft has not confirmed if it will release it for Windows 7. Intuit is the only one not going to support Windows after this year, which means next year I will have to do my taxes using a pen again, since Linux is not one of their areas of interest. There are people who are telling you not to use Windows 7 for scare tactics right now. Although support for my machine expired more than a month ago, I was still able to update it last week. It won't matter whether you run Windows 7 this year or not.

Turbo Tax has been my go-to tax software for years and I have been very satisfied in the past. However, I decided to order this early trial version in order to evaluate if anything needs to be done before the end of the year to minimize my tax obligations. There is a note that pops up saying that the IRS hasn't decided yet how this will work and it will be ready on As a result, the software is completely useless for my purpose and that should have been noted in the product description. Due to the nature of this software being downloaded, we cannot accept returns. My software was updated as of 11/15/2019* I just opened it again and saw there was an update available for download. Tentative entry for 1099-B I have now been able to run my 'what if' scenarios using R data. Their update estimate was two months ahead of what they actually delivered.
