At the time I purchased this item for Windows 10 Home, upgrading to Windows 10 Pro, it had a good price. It was concerning to me that it received a 2 1/2 star rating and found that many of the people who gave it a low rating had difficulty installing it over Windows 7 or 8. According to the instructions, prior to upgrading the system to Windows 10 Home, the user must have Windows 10 Home on his or her computer. If you use another OS, it will do nothing for you. People who left poor reviews because the upgrade product failed to work with their non-updated device They didn't read the product description or instructions and can't be trusted in their reviews due to their own ignorance. They seem to be dissatisfied primarily due to the lack of attention they are paying. Having just installed this upgrade on my HP Omen 17" laptop, I am able to use it normally. In order to ensure that the computer's gaming features were working properly, the Windows 10 Pro operating system would not cooperate with some gaming features, including the Omen Command Center, so I had to download additional drivers from the Microsoft Store in order to make them work. As soon as I had those packets of code, I was able to have the Command Center present and working. In the event you are older and wish to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro (after making an OS utility install drive), some computers will not allow you to do this, and you will need the upgrade for the Windows 10 Pro ON TOP OF the Windows 10 Home version. The upgrade to Windows 10 is NOT the same as the upgrade to Windows 8. 1. Windows 10 Home to Pro will be upgraded to this version. There is a lot of misinformation in the description, and now I have to step past another screen to go to today's steaming pile called Windows 10, it's extremely annoying.

I dislike the fact that they force people who use Windows to upgrade to Windows 10, force them to upgrade Office products and charge people for these upgrades. It's a nightmare trying to get everything up and running with the new software and the productivity hit that comes with it. This is not such a subtle form of extortion from.

Because it was Windows 10 Pro, which I wished to have, I bought it. I was told I could have gotten a free upgrade to Windows 10 Home from several sources. The product is advertised as being Windows 10 Pro, so I decided to pay for it. I don't see any way to ask a question or get assistance.

Since it can only be used to upgrade a Windows 10 standard version to a Windows 10 pro version, the product is misleading. Windows 8 and 7 will not upgrade to windows 10 in this way. Since this item wasn't refundable, I had to turn around and buy the full version of Windows 10 Pro.
