I've been a fan of The Learning Company games since I was a kid, and I'm collecting them to recreate an educational computer I used to have. I was engaged and learning, and I recommend any of the older ones that have been brought into the new age. However, I have yet to come across them. The seller's product appears to be in excellent condition.
It was almost impossible to get this to work on a modern or any PC or laptop without a lot of extra software and patches. br>This was revealed and required a lot of additional software and patches. This is not for the faint of heart. br>br>Once again, everything was revealed. As a result, there is no way to hold the vendor responsible.
My daughter was nine years old when this happened. She was 12 years old at the time, and she was a huge fan of the game. It's a level-based game in which you must navigate underwater mazes. Although there are some math problems strewn about the game, the navigation of your mini-game is the most important aspect. Substituting is equally instructive. Problem solving, logic, geometry, and a basic understanding of physics are all required in many underwater chambers and passages. This isn't an arcade game in the least. If you have an older OS, it's well worth it, though I've heard it works with newer Windows versions as well. It is compatible with Windows XP.
It was exactly as I had remembered it. It had already been installed on our first computer, and when it crashed, I had no idea how to recover it. It's both frustrating and exciting, and it teaches patience as well as math. I first played it when I returned home after weeks on the road and needed to unwind; it didn't help me unwind, but it did keep me "wound up," as all truckers are. It's still a fun game to play now that I'm 60. It's great for helping kids learn math, and it even includes a small on-screen calculator for solving problems. It's a five-star game, and it's not something you'll be able to finish in a few hours.
Simple, but not too simple as a game; it necessitates multiple attempts and consideration. For problem solving, this is an excellent learning/teaching tool. It isn't particularly entertaining, but it is challenging for my son, who enjoys playing it.
The most effective math-teaching game on the market.
So far, it has performed admirably on the following tasks: br>Windows 95br>Windows 98br>Windows XPbr>Windows 7br>Windows 8 32-bit Bit Only.
