Questions & Answers

Is this a single Disc license, or can I use it on two computers?

We allow you to install this on a limited number of systems using your registration and key, which is tied to your account that you registered. You can always remove it from one laptop and reinstall it on another if you find you've reached your limit on the number of systems you can use it on. Is it possible to burn original DVD movies using this software?

That depends entirely on what you mean by 'Original DVD Movies.' That could be a home-made DVD Video Movie, which would be an 'Original' that you could copy and burn. br>br>However, I believe you're referring to films that have been produced and are protected by Digital Rights Management, or DRM. And our DRM-protected software won't let you burn or copy them. Regards, Craig, br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br

Is this a one-time purchase or do I need to purchase a yearly license?

For the PowerDVD 20, this is referred to as a 'Perpetual License.' As a result, you won't have to buy any'renewal' to keep it running. If you have a new model DVD player, a new Microsoft operating system, a new video format, or a new feature is released, you will need to purchase an 'Upgrade' to get support for the 'New Feature.' Is it possible to convert songs from audio CDs to mp3, wma, or flac files using this software?

This software program will not install on a Windows 10 computer
3/5

On May 31, 2020, I bought this product. I had trouble getting the download to start on my computer. I contacted Amazon Customer Support twice via online chat and followed their attempts to diagnose the issue for several hours. Nothing seemed to work. The process worked for another program two years ago, but it didn't work for this one. br>I requested a refund, but they informed me that software download purchases are non-refundable. It is refundable. br>As a result, I've now spent nearly $100 on something that doesn't work. br>I have an Amazon Prime account that I'm seriously considering canceling, and I'll keep looking for ways to get a refund. br>I would advise against purchasing anything from Amazon Games. Unless the order can be canceled and the purchase price refunded, Software Downloader will be used.

This product is not compatible with Windows 10
3/5

No way, no how. This is something I've noticed in other reviews as well. You could be a tech whiz. You might think you're smart and say "I can mod the bios" or "I can download the Intel app to install SGX on the app that Intel created to install SGX on Windows 10," but you'd be mistaken. br>br>Intel's app for installing SGX on Windows 10 does not work on Windows 10. I'll let you mull that over, as well as the circular feedback loop of failure that is the state of Ultra4k disk playback on Windows 10. You don't have to use SGX to run your codex, Cyberpower. You are not one of them. So don't. Intel, you need to fix your s**t. What are your thoughts on Microsoft? If you want to be the media system of choice, include the Ultra4k codex in licensed copies of Windows 10. br>br>What about you, the consumer who wants to play Ultra4k disks on a PC running Windows 10? This software should not be purchased.

3 tech support contacts after 5 install attempts Install disconnects from the W10 network and hangs at 96%
3/5

This is the fourth and final time I've told you that your software won't install. Because your install process disconnects my network/internet connections, it hangs at 96 at 96 at 96 at 96 at 96 at 96 at 96 at 96 at 96 at I'm using a standard Windows 10 machine, and there are billions of them out there, so you've probably heard about this issue from a lot of people trying to install your software. Your overabundance of Great product descriptions are false, and in at least five attempts to install, you have made no changes to the product delivered. I strongly advise all potential buyers not to buy this product because it is unusable and your claims that you are delivering a genuine product are untrustworthy. This product and the people who sell it aren't who they say they are. Attempting to install or use their products will put your systems' security at risk. Their product is ineffective, and they are con artists. br>br>Despite all of the wizardry, Their fifth solution, despite their best-ever marketing claims, did not work. And what they have to offer necessitates the user being a true computer whiz. Because the majority of us aren't, this entire experience has been a complete waste of money and time. br>br>Your condition's root cause is unknown. This installation mechanism (restarting all system devices) is, however, controlled and governed by the Microsoft Windows operating system, not by the CyberLink software installer. When the Windows OS is installing the kernel driver and restarting all connected system devices, the CyberLink program installation CANNOT be controlled or accessed in reverse. To troubleshoot installation issues, we recommend uninstalling PowerDVD 20 from the Windows Control Panel if it was installed. Programming Remove a program from your computer. br>br>Reboot Windows after uninstalling. To check the installation condition, use the attached files and follow the steps below:
1. The attached zip file should be downloaded and extracted.
2. Right-click on the "install" option in the extracted folder. 3. Create a "bat" file. br> To begin the BD driver installation process, select "Run as administrator. "
4. Depending on the complexity of your platform's hardware devices, the installation could take as little as a few seconds or as long as an hour.
5. The installation window will show a query report after the provided driver has completed installation, with one of the messages being as follows: br>"STATE: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX RUNNING FOR RUNNING FOR RUNNING FOR RUNNING
6. The message indicates that the driver was correctly installed.
7. After you've installed the above driver, run the PowerDVD 20 program installer to see if everything went smoothly. If the driver installation at step 45 did not go as planned, please send us a screenshot of the driver installation window (from step 5) for further investigation. Is the preceding denial of responsibility and proposed solution how product installation should be done in the twenty-first century?.

I am unable to download
3/5

When you purchase this, it is automatically added to your Amazon software library. To get it, you'll need to get the Amazon Games and Software Downloader first. The issue is that the software is incompatible with Windows 10 and will not function properly. ON AMAZON, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. You won't be able to use what you paid for because of their shoddy software.

Player of note
5/5

For the past 20 years or so, I've been using Cyberlink PowerDVD. Version 14 was the most recent one that I had. Unfortunately, Cyberlink only allowed upgrades up to version 16 of their software. I've tried other viewers over the years, but none have come close to matching the PowerDVD. VLC is a little too simple for me, and I prefer PowerDVD. VLC isn't bad; it plays videos well and is free, but PowerDVD has a more polished feel and appearance. I don't use all of the features; I mostly just watch videos. I tried a few other products based on reviews, but I decided to stick with PowerDVD because it is consistently rated the best. Unless it's with a video editor, I'm not sure what else is available at the moment. PowerDVD is supposed to provide the best image in any format and on older videos, but I haven't noticed. My videos are all newer, and I don't mind watching them on a small screen because my eyes aren't as sensitive as they once were. br>br>Both VLC and PowerDVD have consistently recognized and played all of the formats I've used. There are a few minor differences and options when it comes to playback. For my purposes, there isn't much to mention. I'm more at ease with PowerDVD now that I've used it before. I'm sure if I used VLC more, I'd be just as comfortable with it as I am with it now, rather than having to dig through menus to get what I want. My travel/vacation laptop has VLC installed. I don't want to spend the money on PowerDVD for a computer that I only use two times a year. Three times a year, for two or three videos. If I can find the old installation disk for PowerDVD, I'll probably move it to that machine. br>br>I'm probably overspending on this for my own use, but it's not unreasonably priced, and I just feel more at ease with it.
