Questions & Answers

Do you think a 5 year old would like it?

The decision would depend on how computer savvy this child is and how independent he It was easily figured out by my 6 1/2 yr old grandson when he was 6 1/2 years old (at the time). Once he got going, there was no stopping him. He is very smart. But it took a while for him to learn. That's what he wants to do.

Do you know if it is compatible with Windows ?

The game was reviewed on Windows 7 after I played it. As far as Crazy Machines games go, only Crazy Machines 2 did not work initially. For those who are interested, I have reviews of these games on my website (see the link in my profile). Also, I have fixes for CM2 on my website.

There is a freeplay mode on this game?

Considering that the box is factory sealed, if it came with a freeplay mode, it must have had one.

-Can this be installed on a Windows system- How many tens are there?

The description of the software is saying that it's compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 8, Windows XP, and Windows 7, but it does not say that it works with Windows 10. Try emailing them and ask them if it will work or if they have one that will work with Windows 10. I think it is a good game that will be enjoyed by you and your kids.

5/5

In my search for software that would help my children learn to solve problems, I've looked for years and have yet to find any In an entertaining package, you can develop your problem-solving skills. There is no other word for it but Crazy Machines. On a whim, I bought the game on Amazon after discovering it randomly at the top of the page. This product arrived about a week ago, and my kids, especially my 6-year-old, are excited about it The first time I played it my son was six years old, and the rest of us have been bugging me ever since. *Don't get me wrong, the game isn't perfect but I've rated it a 5 out of 5 because its fun and educational value more than make up for any The gameplay in this game is excellent. There is a very short learning curve As soon as we started solving puzzles, we had a riot. There are a variety of puzzles available, ranging from very easy to very complicated (some resolve themselves). My time taken to solve the first one was over an hour It took only a few minutes for others. Our first week of playing has seen us solve about a third of the total levels, so the amount of time spent playing is not a problem. I went to the gym six times a week Even though my three-year-old can solve some of these alone, maybe about a quarter of them, I still use those that he cannot figure out by himself to teach him a thing or two about problem solving Ability to solve problems. Rather than provide him with hints and lead him to the solutions, he is responsible for solving it in his own way. One of the most interesting features that he has already interacted with is the ability to create your own puzzles in the in-built editor. In the "Sandbox" game lab, players create their own games. With all the elements of the game, you can play You can use fire, steam pipes, electricity, levers and catapults, as well as balls, boxes and gravity. I find it much harder than it appears to devise an interesting puzzle that is challenging and I love the graphics - there is no doubt about that It is very sharp and pleasing to the eye. I'm playing this game on a new 22" monitor and it looks great. It's fine with the background music It doesn't seem as noticeable after a while. It is really the physics engine that drives the program that is impressive. The items interact with each other in a realistic way, and the game reacts to even the tiniest movement or angle of change in response to it. The cons are as follows. The levels are all sequential and can not be skipped. In case you get stuck on a level, you cannot move to any other level. The kids are fine with that, but I don't like having them play on my laptop. The difficulty pattern in the game does not apply to any of the 103 levels. In general, you would expect the difficulty to increase from easier to harder, but this does not happen. The first couple of levels are easy, but from there on the difficulty is random, with some of the hardest levels appearing relatively early on. It would be nice to be able to sort the levels based on their difficulty level so you could pick the harder or easier ones by your liking. The kids always get stuck when it rains. It's the same old "Professor" every time you begin a new level with an old tired platitude like "this one was hard for even me". His problems are that he has only two or three things to say, and it grows old after a while. Neither of these are terribly annoying but if he continually said the same thing or if his statements matched up somehow to the actual difficulty of the level, then I wouldn't mind it so much, but it becomes Last but not least, unless I have missed something, the developers have missed out on a huge Web 2. 0 opportunity. When it comes to creating and sharing levels, there is no opportunity. creating a level in the Sandbox, you can name it, save it, but there is no way to upload, download, or share the level, either within the Sandbox or on their website. It seems like it will be a bigger game than the original. I'm sorry to hear that. Overall, this game is a great deal for its price, and well worth the time and effort it takes to learn the controls. It would be much better if I could just find someone with whom I could trade levels.

There's no way Rube Goldberg could have imagined this kind of fun! I cannot express how great this piece of software is
5/5

This software is neither entertainment nor educational, so I am not sure which to label it. It was a gift from our 10 year old to whom he literally played non-stop for the whole of Christmas There are days when it seems to stop forever. Each member of the family took a turn because it was such fun. My son, who is 10, was very impressed by how much he learned by building these wonderful Initially, the software instructs the user on the basics of gravity powered devices, steam powered machines, electrically powered machines, etc. , before requiring the user to build a machine (eventually in the form of a chain reaction of machines) to accomplish As the difficulties and complexity increase, the tasks become harder and harder to accomplish. Despite the structured program, however, you do not have to stay within it. The software allows you to freelancing and create your own machines. Software of this caliber is very well written, and it's a tremendous value for the price. I had no issues installing the software on our computer, which is run by Windows XP Home Edition, which has a moderate amount of RAM.

Runs on Windows XP, but not on Vista

A media specialist). A few things we did were run it in Compatibility modes, reinstall DirectX (even though it was up to date), search for new video drivers (there were no new versions available), check that all DirectX features are enabled, and install an official manufacturer patch. In response to my questions about the manufacturer's help and what I had already tried, I received a prompt reply telling me I should try what I had As a result of my reply to put forth the fact that I had now tried the things I had tried again, I did not receive any.

The perfect game for kids and adults alike
5/5

You can consider this game to be one that is beneficial for you. that it provides a platform for problem solving and cognitive development for people of all ages In addition to being a fun game, it also has great graphics. So I know what I'm getting into and I'm pretty good at it now since I've tried it before. There have been several puzzle games I have played in the past such as Dr. Mario and The Pogo website has a variety of online games. We do stuff like that. One of the most interesting ones to me is this one as it offers a diverse range of skill levels. There is a range of complexity, ranging from very easy to quite difficult. In addition, children will benefit from this game as it would teach them problem solving skills that will be useful later in life. It's great for adults who like puzzle type games to keep their mind active. I recommend this game to anyone because you won't go wrong because it will keep you entertained for quite a while. You can even make your own puzzles and have your family try and solve them too. It is my goal to eventually own the rest of the line as well. That's no doubt a lot of variety for the gaming industry.

I play this game with my kids all the time! I've tested it on my computer and it runs fine
5/5

This was a gift I gave my kids for Christmas in 2005. The kids are playing right now - one is playing the other is watching It's been 12 months since then. It has never crashed or displayed any "bugged" issues on their Mac Mini or my iMac G5. They have also played on my Mac Mini when they wanted to find a similar game, when they mentioned issues in some reviews. So to repeat - it has never experienced any issues. It runs without issues on at least two of my computers and appeals to both my kids and me (it's educational as well as entertaining). As well as Learn to Play Chess with Fritz and Chesster, which is from the same company, we own it and enjoy it. As for that software, it has also served us well.
