PC games like this are very popular with boys. While on missions, you must find or guess certain things that the game asks you to do or guess. I learned a lot from this mystery book.
We used to own this game and it worked fine until it It wouldn't even install correctly when we ordered it as a replacement. It wasn't helpful to talk to the company. Once it had been installed, we attempted to start the game, but we received blank error messages every time we attempted to do so Why is that happening? Are you able to fix it? A real pain in the a**. I can't believe how much money we wasted! do not live in the United States, so we could not return the item. Carmen Sandiego has been problematic with other games as well. We will never do that.
Since I played with this item when my kids were teenagers, I gave it to my grandson. There was nothing wrong with Carmen San Diego (fun and educational) But I would prefer to see more of her in the future. There is an older version of the games and I couldn't get it to run.

It's a good program, but you have to download a quicktime patch to give it the full functionality.
